SENIOR CUP FINAL

The opening cup final action of the season took place on Thursday night as Waltham Forest Borough met CSM London under the Dagenham & Redbridge lights. An early Mustafa Hussein finish was doubled by Kazim Bishop to put Borough ahead before Tyrell Huggins-Solomons free-kick reduced the deficit.  CSM applied the pressure in the second half but couldn’t quite make it pay, Waltham Forest Borough ending 2-1 winners and lifting the cup.

SENIOR DIVISION

The penultimate top flight action took place on Bank Holiday Monday as Fairlop Rovers ended locked at 2-2 against Sporting Bengal United Reserves. Freddie Bose and Delphin Moorat found the net for Rovers, Steven Bohan and Ashden Phillip netting for Bengal who finished in bottom four.

The final game of the Senior season was on Wednesday evening as Woodford Town Under 23s secured a win over Frenford Development with Bora Alici and Ben Ellis scoring the goals in a 2-1 win, Daniel Francis netting the Frenford goal in response.

PREMIER DIVISION EAST

On Wednesday evening, attentions turned to Roding Lane in the East division where Bealonians kept alive the title race with a 3-1 win over Buckhurst Hill Under 23s. Ashley Farrer scored twice and Andrew Dukes once, Henry Huckle scoring the Hill goal in reply.

That result meant that Old Barkabbeyans needed a win in their fixture at Kit Out London on Saturday and they got the job done in a seven goal thriller, Barks winning 4-3 to secure the title courtesy of two Jaeden John goals and one each from Kingsley Jollands and Thomas Green. Congratulations to Nham and his team on their success.

Bealonians confirmed the runners-up spot in their own weekend fixture on Saturday afternoon as they edged a close game against Bakers693 with Rhys Clements, Louie Morales and Joseph Jones all scoring in a 3-2 win in Dagenham.

There were some important results at the bottom end of the table also as Athletic Newham Under 23s secured a big 6-2 win at Inter Newbury to move a step closer to safety. Khedir Elias, Seco Fati and Caleb Odutola all scored twice with Halameen Agbaje and Sehraan Hussain netting for Newbury.

Over at Roding Lane, Buckhurst Hill Under 23s bounced back from their midweek reverse, securing a vital win that moved them up into ninth spot in the table, beating Romford Town Flyers 5-0 to make it eight wins for the season.

DIVISION ONE EAST

In Division One East, champions Royal Forest secured another victory for their record, taking home the points from Westlands after a 4-1 victory against Romford Town Flyers Reserves. Jack Walsh grabbed the Romford goal but Royal Forest scored four themselves.

The other game came from Barkingside where Bealonians Reserves were taking on Chadwell Heath Spartans Reserves where a couple of Kevin Richards goals helped Spartans record a 3-1 success, Ashley Webster scoring the other for Beals.

DIVISION ONE WEST

The sole Division One West match came from Parsloes Park where Sich London were playing host to cup final bound Get Rich Together. Vasyl Paskar scored for Sich but two GRT goals were enough for the visitors to edge the contest 2-1.

DIVISION TWO

In Division Two, CSM London Under 23s got the result they needed to secure the runners-up place as they came away 4-2 winners from Kulture Reserves with a goal each scored by Emmanuel Apalata-Mbembe, Jahim Stapleton-Payne, Healing Bussolino and Husainey Sankano.

Over in Walthamstow, London East were in replay action against Chingford Harriers with promotion places on the line. It was a 3-1 win for London East in the fixture after Jayden Barrow scored two and Irasto Yoxall once.

DIVISION THREE

The race for the title was eventually settled in Division Three as two pivotal games played out, beginning at Parsloes Park where Jays knew they had to better results elsewhere against Buckhurst Way. Neither side could find the back of the net however in a 0-0 draw.

That meant that Old Parkonians B could win it with victory at Belhus Park but they had to come from behind against Upminster Albion who saw George and Oliver Cornwell both net, Parks netting twice  late on to win 3-2 with Alex Davey Hardcastle and Charlie Cole on the scoresheet. Congratulations to Old Parks on their successful season, adding the league to a county crown also.
