WEEK 4 REVIEW: Round-up of all the EAL league action from the weekend

SENIOR DIVISION

Just a single goal separates the sides at the summit of the Senior Division where Waltham Forest Borough’s big 4-0 home win over Old Barkabbeyans on Friday evening put them ahead, Luke Dimond scoring twice with Louie Cooper and Albert James adding the others.

A couple of late goals in Barkingside proved enough for CSM London to take home all three points against Bealonians with Junior Milla and an own goal enough for the visitors to win that one 2-1 and stay unbeaten.

Fourth placed Kulture remain the only side with a perfect record so far and they made it three wins from three at Wadham Lodge after securing a 3-1 home win over bottom of the table Saint City.

Over at Cricklefields, Barkingside were indebted to a couple of Alexandru Vtornico goals as they recorded a 3-1 victory over Ongar Town, back to back wins in the league. Kai Haysman’s strike had initially given them the lead before Lloyd Gullefer’s equaliser.

There were a couple of big wins on Saturday where Fairlop Rovers racked up an impressive 5-0 home success, beating Vallance in a 5-0 scoreline through efforts from Aodan Downer, Billy Barr, Freddie Bose, Jack Kibblewhite and Enos Owusu.

Just down the road, it was seven goals for Ryan, beating Sporting Bengal United Reserves in a 7-3 scoreline. Levi Burgin scored a hat-trick, Bilel Benyoucef two, Joshua Assouman and Nathan Watts the others while Ezekiel Ertl struck two and Steven Bohan one.

Chadwell Heath Spartans battled their way to a first of the new season, scoring the game’s only goal in a 1-0 away victory over Greengate District. Peter Adeleye was the man sending his side to three points with the game’s only goal.

FC Petrocub remain unbeaten but had to settle for a share of the spoils against promoted Newham Wanderers after the sides ended level at 2-2 at Noak Hill. Khalid Maxamed’s double for Wanderers equalled Ion Spinu and Nazar Ilchyshyn goals.

PREMIER DIVISION EAST

Two sides sit locked at the top of the table in Premier East, after Romford Town Flyers made it three from three on Friday night with a comprehensive 5-1 win over Condor, aided in no small part by four Jahvann Menzie goals, along with an Ali Rajim effort.

That was followed by AFC Newbury moving top on Saturday afternoon as they racked up a big 6-0 home win against Old Esthameians at Parsloes Park, Mirko Saba and Tyrell Spencer both scoring hat-tricks for the leaders.

Goals continued to be the theme in a seven-goal thriller in Dagenham where Redbridge Reserves continued their perfect start with a narrow 4-3 success against APSA, keeping the visitors in third spot.

Bakers693 opened their points account for the new season, taking all three points in Dagenham following a 2-1 win over Something From Nothing, earned through goals from Robbie Farrell and Lindisipho Mtyanda.

PREMIER DIVISION WEST

Walthamstow Reserves made it a pair of wins from their opening games of the season, moving top on goal difference following a 4-1 win against North East Lions. Jai Perkins struck for the visitors but that proved in vain as Stow took the win.

It’s also two from two for Waltham Athletic Sporting Club who ended Hackney Wanderers’ winning start with a 3-1 success. Toby Bloomfield scored for the visitors but Jamal Sheekh, Omar Rouane and Demetri Horsford efforts secured a Waltham win.

After contrasting fortunes in their opening fixtures, ACE 05 and Jolof Sports couldn’t be separated in Newbury Park, the game ending 1-1 after Raphael Adeniji scored for Ace and Serigne Samb netted for Jolof off the bench, the sides sharing the spoils.

DIVISION ONE EAST

There were plenty of goals in Division One East, beginning as Chadwell Heath Spartans Reserves knocked in thirteen against Stratford East. Owen Rami, Arthur Chosen and Kevin Richards scored hat-tricks, Jamie Pooley scored two, Daniel Costa and Jaiden Buntin one.

It was just the nine goals in the game from South Park Drive where Old Barkabbeyans Reserves opened their new season in the way they would have wanted, edging their way to a 5-4 victory over Bealonians Reserves.

Over at Mayfield School, promoted London East secured a 5-3 win over debutants, Ekota. Jayden Barrow’s hat-trick proved pivotal, Joshua Ayeni and Connor Brathwaite notching the others. Eesa Rasool, Harry Milburn and Kevon Samuels scored for Ekota in reply.

Another of the promoted sides also put points on the table at the first attempt as Kaiden Lahai, Bailey Childs and Dorian Glover goals made it a 3-1 Eastside Foundation win against Romford Town Flyers Reserves. Denzel Jagun-Peters struck for Flyers’ consolation.

The action from the division concluded in the late game at Parsloes Park where Lymore Gardens Reserves started in a strong fashion, earning themselves a 2-1 home win against Barking Development courtesy of two Fabian Brown strikes.

DIVISION ONE WEST

It was a pair of wins for the away sides in the West, beginning at Parsloes Park where Elite Energy’s 6-1 win on Saturday evening over UK Moldova was the perfect start for them, despite Mihail Burduja’s goal for the hosts.

Sich London also secured victory on the road as they beat debutants, Concord United, in a 4-1 scoreline in north east London. Serhii Hura struck two, Ruslan Mykheiev and Mykola Polevyi the others while Melchisedek Kalenga bagged for United.

DIVISION TWO

Newhall Rangers made a fast start on their debut, netting themselves a high-scoring 9-4 win against Glendale. James Keys-Kidd scored four, Denzel Chimwemwe two, Alfie Parker, Samuel Childs and Jack Haley the others. Emmanuel Ejembi scored two in reply with Taps Mashiri and Yaw Ghansah adding the others.

It’s Dagenham United Reserves sitting second in the table after the first weekend, getting their season underway with a 3-1 win over Old Parkonians B. Emeka Ezeleu scored for Parks but two Samuel Olubiyi efforts plus one from Renato Molaudzi were enough.

Kulture Under 21s made it a double day of delight for the club as they picked up a win on their first outing, defeating Jays by the odd goal in three, 2-1 the final scoreline from the game at Wadham Lodge.

DIVISION THREE

It was a winning start for debutants, JK Silvertown, in their local derby fixture at home to Imope, the hosts taking all three points in a 9-1 success, Musa Manneh with Imope’s first senior goal.

Romford Town Flyers B earned three points from their trip to Dagenham, completing a 5-2 away victory over Cobra. Connor Ross and Ollie Mercer scored for the hosts with Catalin Ursa, Himat Hansra, Reshay Moise and Mason Demuth efforts giving Flyers the win.

The action completes with the game from Fords Newbury Park as London Academics started their season with a 3-0 win over Freetown as Jordan Dixon-Walker netted two and Derek Boakye one.
