SENIOR DIVISION
The Senior Division action continued on Friday evening where it was a first win of the season for Barkingside as Dhillon Sandhu-Nelson struck with the game's only goal in a 1-0 victory over Saint City at Cricklefields.
Over at Parsloes Park, late drama saw Ongar Town equalise through Henry Mort after Luke Dimond's goal had put Waltham Forest Borough ahead. But an even later stoppage time effort from Albert James won it for Borough, 2-1 the final scoreline.
On an adjoining pitch, it was another close game in Dagenham as Sporting Bengal United Reserves and Greengate District battled their way to a 2-2 draw to share the points. Ezekiel Ertl scored both for Bengal with Ruben Silva repeating that feat for 'Gate.
There was a second successive win for CSM London as they scored twice without reply against Chadwell Heath Spartans in Beckton, courtesy of a goal each from Cyril Pluche and Tyrell Huggins-Solomons.
It was a five-goal thriller in north east London where Newham Wanderers were edged out by the odd goal in a 3-2 Old Barkabbeyans win. Yunus Mussa, Louis Orton and Jack Payne goals were the different, Muhammed Camara and Mason Young scoring for Newham.
The game at Broadfields ended all square as Fairlop Rovers responded well to their reverse last weekend to take a point at home against FC Petrocub London. Jack Kibblewhite and Sonny Clarke both found the target for Rovers in the 2-2 draw.
Not too far away, at Wadham Lodge, it was Ryan returning to winning ways after a big defeat last weekend as they recorded a 3-1 home victory over Bealonians to make it six points from a possible nine and up to fifth spot.
PREMIER DIVISION EAST
It was a second Friday night win on the bounce for Romford Town Flyers, recording a big 5-1 home win against Bakers693 after goals from Asher Reid, Christos Mead, Ronnie Challis, Aleandro Pires and Jahvann Menzie. Alex Paraskeva struck with the Bakers consolation.
Inter Newbury made it two wins from two to sit just behind the leaders, taking home all three points in a 3-0 away victory at Something From Nothing. Mirko Saba, Jordan Mullings and Chaka Barnett were all on the scoresheet for Inter.
The biggest winners of the day were Dagenham United who put away six goals in their home game with Condor to make it a first league win of the season. Denzel Akanbi, Jason Adonri, Tajean Lewis, Bryan Henry, Renato Molaudzi and Charlie Jacks were the scorers in the 6-1 result.
In the late game, it was victory in AS Rapid Londra's first outing of the new season, defeat new boys, APSA, in a 4-2 scoreline in Dagenham courtesy of two Andrei Boga goals and one each from Cristian Cazacu and Robert Popescu.
PREMIER DIVISION WEST
Walthamstow Reserves produced a strong showing on the opening day of their season, taking on returning Jolof Sports in the game at Wadham Lodge. A couple of Louison Mandangi goals but one each from Victor Shvets and Danny Cowlin confirmed a 4-1 Stow win.
There were eight goals in the game from just across the North Circular where Onyx hosted Hackney Wanderers in the May derby. Kevin Ngimbi scored two, Prince Lefevre, Alexander Gore and Michael Morgan the others in the 5-3 Wanderers win.
A close game at Roding Valley saw a single goal settle the clash between promoted Royal Forest and new boys, ACE 05, with Arthur Wright's effort for the latter earning them a 1-0 opening day victory.
It was a little more routine in the division's remaining game as Sporting Hackney started their new season with the visit of FC Baresi Reserves to Douglas Eyre. It was a 3-0 win for the Parrots here to see them take all three points.
