WEEK 2 REVIEW: Round-up of all the EAL league action from the weekend

SENIOR DIVISION

The second weekend of the season continued a first week trend of goals with Friday night's eleven goal contest seeing Vallance secure their first win of the season, beating Sporting Bengal United Reserves 7-4. Ben Woodhouse, Suhayb Aftab, Khalid Madey (2), Mikie Robinson, Wyclef Kayonjo and Tashawn Brown scored the Vallance goals with Ilyas Ahmed, Steven Bohan, Ezekiel Ertl and Muhammod Ahmed striking for Bengal in consolation.

Up at Wodson Park, Ongar Town bounced back strongly from their opening day reverse to record a home win over Chadwell Heath Spartans as Milan Trotman, Luke O'Connor and Endrit Abazi goals made it a 3-1 Town success, Arthur Chosen scoring the Spartans goal in reply.

On Saturday afternoon, Kulture were the only side to make it two wins from two so far as they moved to six points with a hard fought 3-2 home win over Newham Wanderers at Wadham Lodge, courtesy of two Jayden Alexander goals and one from Oliver Modeste. Emmanuel Chukwumah and Mason Young scored the Newham goals on their top flight debut.

Promoted Old Barkabbeyans sit second in the table on goal difference as they remained unbeaten in a first league win of the season, defeating Ryan away from home in a 5-0 scoreline. Michael Ryder struck twice with Yunus Mussa, Louis Orton and Meeshaq Malone goals giving the visitors a comfortable afternoon.

Another of the promoted sides still remaining unbeaten at Bealonians who followed up their entertaining opening draw with a solid 3-0 victory in Barkingside, beating Fairlop Rovers 3-0. The men on target were Louis Morales, netting twice, with Halameen Agbaje notching the other off the bench.

FC Petrocub London's first outing of the new season saw them with the visit of Barkingside to Noak Hill where it was the hosts leaving the happier in a 3-1 success. Bryan Ntueba scored for 'Side but that proved in vain as Yurii Zarchuk, Igor Boiciuc and Nazar Ilchyshyn goals for Petrocub carried their team to three points.

There were seven goals in the game from Parsloes Park where Ruben Silva netted twice for Greengate District but ultimately saw his side slip to a second consecutive defeat, third placed CSM London the side to walk away happier, remaining unbeaten following a 5-2 victory here.

Saint City picked up a first point of the new campaign, following up last week's defeat with a draw this time around, holding Waltham Forest Borough to a 2-2 scoreline at Parsloes Park. Jamie Moore and Sandro Pereira struck for the hosts with Luke Dimond's double meaning it was spoils shared in Dagenham.

PREMIER DIVISION EAST

The Premier Division action commenced on Friday evening where APSA fought back from 2-0 down against hosts Romford Town Flyers with Brandon Johnson and Aaron Ndu-Seaba scoring to level Ali Rajim and Jahvann Menzie efforts. Christos Mead's late winner however made it a 3-2 Flyers win.

Saturday's action saw a trio of away wins, starting in Dagenham where Old Esthameians took all three points in a 4-2 victory away at Parsloes Park as they saw off the efforts of hosts Kit Out London.

Over at The Drive, Frenford Reserves' first outing of the season saw them at home with the visit of Inter Newbury where it was the visitors leaving the happier, 3-1 the final scoreline. Mirki Saba, Tyrell Spencer and Kai Stephen all found the net to confirm the win.

There was just the one goal in the final game from the division where Redbridge Reserves started their season in a winning fashion as Mohamed Sankoh scored the game's only goal at Robert Clack to defeat Dagenham United 1-0.

PREMIER DIVISION WEST

There were a couple of games to kick off the Premier West action, beginning as North East Lions set the early pace in the divsiion with a 3-1 home victory over Onyx. Jai Perkins, Khedir Elias and Souare Ayouba goals gave Lions the win, Luke Bradley-Morgan with the Onyx consolation.

The other fixture came from Wadham Lodge where an early kick off saw West Essex Reserves hosting Waltham Athletic Sporting Club on the opening day for both sides, Waltham the side to leave with the points in a 3-2 success.
