WEEK 37 REVIEW: Round-up of all the EAL league action from the weekend

SENIOR DIVISION
The Senior action continued with a busy midweek of action on Tuesday where champions, London Harts United, completed a record breaking, unbeaten campaign with an 8-0 win over Fairlop Rovers. Tam Retyi’s scored a hat-trick, Michael Olatunji two Caleb Roberts, George Mwale and Isaac Sijuade with the others.
The three other games all ended in draws, beginning with the local derby from The Drive where Chadwell Heath Spartans and Frenford Development shared the spoils with neither side able to break the deadlock in a 0-0 draw.
There were a few more goals in the game from Newbury Park where Saint City and Woodford Town Under 23s shared the points in a 2-2 draw with Derek Adu and D’Andre Okorodudu efforts were equalled by Rio Poleon and Jayden Bangura strikes for Town.
The remaining fixture from midweek came from Parsloes Park where it was honours even in the game between Waltham Forest Borough and Kulture, the match ending 1-1 with Dean Florence striking for the hosts and Landry Gogoa netting for Kulture in reply.
The Friday night football action saw Waltham Forest Borough back in action with their last game of the season, taking on Ryan. Omar Dacas scored for the visitors but two Michael Alfred goals for Borough meant they finished with a 2-1 success.
On Saturday afternoon, Fairlop Rovers bounced back from their midweek reverse to secure their top flight status as they earned a narrow home win against Greengate District, 2-1 the final scoreline, overcoming a Ruben Silva goal.
There was just a single goal in the game at Whitbreads where Chadwell Heath Spartans signed off for the season with a 1-0 success over Woodford Town Under 23s, Brandon Johnson’s goal enough to see his side finish fifth in the table.
The remaining game came from Beckton where CSM London struck twice in their game against Saint City to finish their season with three points, 2-0 winners courtesy of goals from Tyrell Huggins-Solomons and Euan Mutale.
PREMIER DIVISION EAST
The Premier Division East action began on Friday evening where Motormen secured themselves an important three points at Oakside in a 3-2 win over Athletic Newham Under 23s, Seco Fati scoring both goals for the visitors.
Saturday’s top of the table action saw Old Barkabbeyans taking on Bealonians with the race for the title very much between those two teams. It was Barks who moved to within one win of the title however, Thomas Green and Mohamed Hassan goals helping them win 2-0.
Something From Nothing’s final match of the season was a successful one, taking all three points in a 5-2 win away at Bakers693 though they must now hope for some results going their way to beat the drop.
Another key result affecting matters at the bottom saw Buckhurst Hill Under 23s net a solid point in an away trip to Inter Newbury, the sides finishing 2-2 courtesy of two Halameen Agbaje goals off the bench, Hill striking through Drew Spiteri and Jayden Izzet.
PREMIER DIVISION WEST
In Premier Division West, Newham Wanderers earned themselves an important three points which saw a promotion place finish confirmed, beating Sporting Hackney by the odd goal in a 3-2 success with Muhammed Camara’s hat-trick proving the pivotal difference.
It was double header delight for Priory Park Rangers who were 4-2 winners in their first clash with FC Baresi Reserves, Kuba Ollivierre and Harlem Anderson striking for the hosts, before Priory won the second fixture 2-0 to complete their season.
DIVISION ONE EAST
It’s congratulations to Royal Forest who confirmed back to back league titles on Saturday following their 2-0 win over Chadwell Heath Spartans Reserves, booking a play-off final with Hackney Wanderers in the process. Big well done to all involved at Royal Forest for this terrific achievement.
The battle for the other promotion place will go to the final round of games as Old Parkonians A saw their penultimate fixture end 3-3 against rivals Bealonians Reserves, Charlie Fiander once again in the goals with a hat-trick.
The remaining fixture from the division saw five goals in the 3-2 win for Old Barkabbeyans Reserves over Romford Town Flyers Reserves where Shola Shonibare, Ifeanyi Umeh and Jeremy Odametey goals overcoming two Jack Walsh strikes.
DIVISION TWO
The race for promotion in Division Two continues as London East earned all three points in a 3-2 win at CSM London Under 23s. Abdelghani Khaldoun, Tommy Akrasi-Bonsu and Mackell Gannes goals were just enough, overcoming Heaing Bussolino and Jahim Stapleton-Payne efforts.
Another side retaining hopes of a promotion finish are Kulture Reserves who went into their penultimate fixture against London Academics needing three points and theuy duly obliged, netting all six in a 6-0 victory.
There was a win for Lymore Gardens Under 23s in their final game of the season, confirming a sixth win of the campaign in a hard fought 2-1 win against cup finalists, Chingford Harriers.
DIVISION THREE
The race for the title in Division Three is extremely well poised as the top two sides, Old Parkonians B and Jays, met once again in Barkingside where the sides couldn’t be separated in a 2-2 draw. Vilius Dambrauskas scored two with Mohamed Adam and Harrison Happe-Heatley on target for Jays.
The above result, meant that Buckhurst Way could cut the gap at the top and they did so in emphatic fashion, securing a 9-1 win over Cobra to place them within four points of the leaders with a game in hand against the second placed side.
