WEEK 35 REVIEW: Round-up of all the EAL league action from the weekend

SENIOR DIVISION
The Senior Division action from midweek saw Frenford Development earn three valuable points after a 5-3 home win against Greengate District with Luyando Muhwanga, Daniel Francis, Tiwa Owifuwa, James Ikotun and Tyler Shillingford all netting in the win. Ruben Silva scored two and Josh Coulson one in response for the visitors.
The action continued on Friday night where Parsloes Park was the venue for Waltham Forest Borough’s contest against CSM London. The match ended locked at 2-2 as Dean Florence and Dylan Florence scored for Borough, Tyrell Huggins-Solomons and Rio Mudhar-Hedley.
The biggest winners of the weekend in the division were Kulture who were in form in front of goal in an 11-0 win over Woodford Town Under 23s. Landry Gogoa scored four, Edward Mavakala two, the others netted by Joel Harrison, Jayden Alexander, Reon Reid, Riley O’Dwyer and Nassir Said.
In other matters affecting the race for safety, Sporting Bengal United Reserves came from behind to net a 4-3 win over Chadwell Heath Spartans with Ezekiel Ertl’s hat-trick proving decisive, Kiyan Davis-Thorpe with the other. Ryan O’Connell’s double and a Brandon Johnson goal were in consolation in the end.
Haringey Borough Reserves’ final game of the season saw them make the trip to Noak Hill to take on FC Petrocub London where a goal from Abdul Bangura and Jamie-Lee O’Donoghue were crucial in Borough taking home the points, 2-0 the final score to their side.
The Crooked Billet derby match saw Ryan make the short trip down to Broadfields to take on Fairlop Rovers in a huge match towards the bottom of the table. It was Ryan who left the happier in the end, 3-1 winners and a step closer to survival.
At Newbury Park, the derby match between Saint City and Greengate District saw the latter bounce back well from their midweek reversal, Greengate winning this one 3-0 with a goal each from Chukwudi Mokwenye, Ruben Silva and Dominique Momba-Simos.
PREMIER DIVISION EAST
In Premier Division East, the leaders, Old Barkabbeyans, moved another step closer to confirming a promotion place finish following a 5-0 win at Inter Newbury. Michael Ryder scored two, James Smith, Keenan Lewis and Mohamed Hassan with the others.
That result was bettered by third placed Bealonians who scored seven goals on the road, beating Something From Nothing 7-0. Louie Morales and Rhys Clements scored twice each, Dan King and Callum Leeks adding the gloss on the result.
It took just a single goal to separate the sides in another of the division’s matches as Athletic Newham Under 23s put a spanner in works of Kit Out London’s promotion challenge, 1-0 the scoreline there.
The remaining game from the division saw a local derby end 2-2 with Motormen and Manford Way Reserves sharing the spoils in Hainault with Tyrell Holder scoring twice for Manford side on the day.
PREMIER DIVISION WEST
A nine-goal thriller saw Vallance complete their league season with a narrow win, edging the contest 5-4 against promotion challenging Unitey after Mikie Robinson scored a hat-trick, Sahaile Allen and Kudus Olowe striking the others.
That result meant that Sporting Hackney leapt up into third spot in the table following a big win in Walthamstow, beating Onyx in a 7-1 scoreline. Percy Winter netted a hat-trick in the win with Emmanual Fesseha, Amir Abbani, Iqbal Sumaila and Jerrel Watkins also scoring.
Another team scoring seven were Ocean Pacific who warmed up for their big night in midweek with a 7-2 victory over Priory Park Rangers, overcoming Jack Greenwell and Oluwatimileyin Alowooja goals with a trio of braces from Gabriel Merlo, Luis Hernandez and Darwin Orozco, along with Carlos Solis’ goal.
There was some symmetry in the remaining two scorelines where London Cranes saw relegation confirmed following a 2-2 home draw against FC Baresi Reserves. Rashid Nsubuga and Arafat Kajjumbi scored for the hosts and Gabriel Mazur and Steven Aguiar striking in reply.
That same scoreline was reflected in the game from Newbury Park where Old Esthameians shared the points in a 2-2 draw against West Essex Reserves, that result keeping the hosts in ninth spot while West sit sixth.
DIVISION ONE EAST
There were ten goals in the game from Loughton where Royal Forest moved back to the top of the table and within touching distance of the league title following a 6-4 win over Redbridge Community.
There was a six goal win also for Old Parkonians A who travelled to Westlands and left with a 6-1 win over Romford Town Flyers Reserves. Shane Hovell scored three, Ben Allen two and Burt Cardy one with Peter Brinton-Quinn netting the Romford goal in reply.
At Parsloes Park, Chadwell Heath Spartans Reserves put another win on the board with a 3-1 home victory against Old Barkabbeyans Reserves with Owen Rami scoring a hat-trick for them. Gabriel Ohuruogu scored the Barks goal in response.
DIVISION ONE WEST
The champions, Hackney Wanderers, completed their league campaign with a big win on Saturday, beating UK Moldova 11-3. Patrick Machado scored four, Michael Morgan three, Kevin Ngimbi two, Prince Lefevre and Toby Bloomfield notching the others.
At Wadham Lodge, Leyton City moved into third spot from their penultimate match as they beat promoted Parsonage Leys 4-2 with Awal Lawal scoring a hat-trick and Joshua Bala the other, while Dwayne Smith and Jake Turner struck for the visitors.
DIVISION TWO
It was victory for all three away sides in Division Two, beginning at Parsloes Park where the champions, Iona Wheels, wrapped up their league campaign with a 3-1 defeat against Lymore Gardens Under 23s.
There was a win for London East as they continued their promotion chase, beating Kulture Reserves 3-1 at Wadham Lodge after a goal each from Lesham Shaw-Carriere, Abdelghani Khaldoun and Mackell Gannes.
The final game from the division saw a big win for Chingford Harriers who secured all three points on the road in a 4-1 win away at London Academics. Connor Bailey scored two with Richard Okyiri and Darnell Lamothe also on the scoresheet.
DIVISION THREE
There was a big game in the promotion race in Division Three where Buckhurst Way shot out of the blocks with early goals against Jays and stayed in a prominent position to complete a 4-0 home win, the race for the title very much remaining alive.
