FENTON CUP

A big day in the football calendar saw both Fenton Cup semi-finals completed. Holders Chadwell Heath Spartans produced a sparkling performance to win 3-0 at home against Waltham Forest Borough with Billy Gipp, Ryan O’Connell and Brandon Johnson scoring the goals to send them through.

And it will be a familiar looking final line-up as FC Petrocub, beaten finalists at Victoria Road last year, will be looking to change their fortunes after a narrow 2-1 win against Inter Newbury secured their place in the final, Igor Boiciuc and Oleh Melnychuk with those goals.

SENIOR DIVISION

It’s congratulations to London Harts United who secured the points they needed on Saturday in a hard fought 4-3 win over CSM London at The Foundry to confirm their league title and will take their place in Senior football next season. Many congratulations to all involved at the club on this achievement.

Back on Tuesday evening, Waltham Forest Borough had kept that title race alive for a few more days at least as they recorded a 3-1 win at Parsloes Park through Jack Barnes, Aaron Blake and Mustafa Hussein goals, Kishawn James netting for Frenford Development in reply.

At the other end of the table, Fairlop Rovers’ hopes of the great escape are very much in their hands after recording a 2-1 away win over Dagenham United to move up into fourteenth place. Billy Barr and Stefanos Ladoukakis goals edged this one with Nana Agyekum striking for United.

That result meant that clash from The Drive was an incredibly important one and it saw Frenford Development secure a vital three points in a 5-3 win against Ryan as Teraun Davis’ brace and one apiece from Phillip Hayford, Youssef Mohamed and Adam Abdelaziz proved the difference.

On Friday evening, two sides locked in mid-table met at Parsloes Park where it was visitors, Kulture, leaving the happier following their 4-2 win over Greengate District. Landry Gogoa’s double was accompanied by Imanol Beta and Leonardo Lowe strikes, Ruben Silva scoring Greengate’s consolations.

Over in East Ham, Ongar Town started the day trailing Saint City by three points around the top five but Town levelled up the points following a 2-0 win as Matt Bovill and Finlay Cook efforts helped their side take a thirteenth win of the season.

PREMIER DIVISION CUP

A place in the semi-finals of the Premier Division Cup was on the line at Parmiters on Saturday as a local derby saw West Essex Reserves in action at Newham Wanderers. Emmanuel Chukwumah scored the game’s only goal in a tight fixture, Wanderers leaving with the win to put themselves in the last four.

PREMIER DIVISION EAST

Leaders, Old Barkabbeyans, are just a couple of wins away from confirming a promotion place finish in the East as they recorded a convincing 4-0 win against Romford Town Flyers with goals from Joshua Wilson-Osuide, Yunus Mussa, Simon Draper and Ifeanyi Umeh.

It was victory too for second placed, AS Rapid Londra, who netted a twelfth win in their penultimate game of the season, edging Motormen in a 3-2 win in Hainault. Tyler Forbes and Kasai Ilunga netted for the hosts but Vlad Bucur, Cristian Cazacu and Wangel Nvima goals won it for Rapid.

Third placed Bealonians continued their push for the promotion places with eight games to go, earning all three points in a 4-1 win at home to Bakers693 through goals from Dan King, Joseph Jones, Andrew Dukes and Louie Morales.

Another side who scored four were Kit Out London as they defeated Something From Nothing in a 4-2 scoreline at Parsloes Park, aided by Emmanuel Balogun’s hat-trick which proved pivotal along with an Omar Kaddoura goal.

There was a win for Buckhurst Hill Under 23’s in their quest to avoid the drop this season, taking on a Manford Way Reserves side. Hill were 3-1 winners, overcoming Rajpal Bumbra’s goal with efforts from Max Handley, Harrison Wickens and George Burnham to stay outside of the drop zone.

That result meant that it was an important afternoon for another relegation threatened side, Athletic Newham Under 23s, who travelled to Parsloes Park to face Condor and left with a vital three points, Newham winning 2-0 to make it four wins for the season.

PREMIER DIVISION WEST

With sides above them out of action, third placed Unitey had the chance to move into the promotion places but saw them efforts thwarted in a 3-3 home draw against FC Baresi Reserves for whom Saddik Azizur, Harlem Anderson and Filippo Lovascio goals handed Baresi a point.

One side who did benefit were Ocean Pacific who moved into fourth spot with four games to go following their solid 3-0 home win over Priory Park Rangers. Sergio Baca, Carlos Solis and Darwin Orozco goals were the difference between the two teams.

A high-scoring contest in the Peter May derby saw Onyx secure three points, defeating co-tenants North East Lions in a 5-3 scoreline. Shaquille Amara’s scored a Lions hat-trick only for Mason Young, Jaiyeola Kayode, Andy Adomakoh, Gideon Adomakoh and Nathan Gilberto-Grosvenor efforts to win it for the visitors.

It ended all square in a closely contested game from Newbury Park where Old Esthameians netted an important point in their battle to avoid the drop, their match with Sporting Hackney ending level at 1-1.

DIVISION ONE EAST

Division One East leaders, Loughton Town, were held to a point apiece in their home fixture with Old Parkonians A as Ben Stone and Sidney Kaye goals were equalled by a couple of Charlie Fiander efforts from the visitors.

FC Alpha are up into third spot in the table, netting six in a 6-1 home win against Old Barkabbeyans Reserves. Liviu Nistreanu, Denis Musteata and Serghei Scupoi all netted braces with Tasuke Yahata scoring for Barks in consolation.

Another high-scoring draw was witnessed in Barkingside where Bealonians Reserves shared the points with Redbridge Community after a 3-3 draw. Toby Kellar, Max Robson and Aaron Porter struck for Beals with Mario Furrera’s double and a Jordi Riaco goal accounting for the visitor efforts.

DIVISION ONE WEST

There were goals aplenty in Division One West where Parsonage Leys rattled in a 12-0 victory against Tajik Unity. Byron Opeodu’s hat-trick, Costa Azzopardi, Dwayne Smith and Joshua Wilkening braces accompanied Jake Turner, Bradley Byford and Daryl Doolan goals onto the scoresheet.

Hackney Wanderers have moved to the cusp of the league title, requiring just a point from their last game after a 4-3 win against Leyton City. Two Patrick Machado goals and one each from Palmiro Cabo-Verde and Kevin Ngimbi were just enough, Joel Malundama (2) and Kafel Brown scoring City in reply.

Third placed SP United completed their first season with a 5-1 away defeat in their local derby, beaten by seventh placed Sich London as Ruslan Mykheiev scored a hat-trick, Vasyl Kovtash and Vasyl Paskar adding the others, while Vincent Clifford scored for United.

A Klevi Plori hat-trick was the difference between the sides at Parsloes Park as Get Rich Together continued their winning run with a 3-1 away success over UK Moldova in the late game, overcoming Dan Zamsa’s goal for the hosts.

DIVISION TWO

Leaders, Iona Wheels, are on the cusp of another league title as they moved ten points clear with two games to go after a 4-0 home win over Thurrock Thameside. Michael Ogedengbe’s double and a Luke Fearne single off the bench were the difference in the end.

The closest rivals are now CSM London Under 23s though they will need things to go their way, keeping hopes alive with a 5-0 home win over Glendale with Emmanuel Apalata-Mbembe scoring two, Ikromjon Kamoliddinov and Joshua Kibuuka goals the difference.

Another key result at the top saw Eastside Foundation’s sub-optimal run continue with a 3-2 away defeat against Chingford Harriers. Aaron Mesuria, Stephen Duberry and Huai-Ginn Oliver goals proved too much as Bailey Childs and Shannon Taylor struck for the visitors.

Fourth placed Kulture Reserves continued their push for a promotion place finish as they beat relegated Freetown in a 6-2 scoreline. Moussa Traore scored two with Seyed Arfaei, Fred Sylmeta, Sergio Mata and Bless-Light Lubaki scoring the others.

A seven-goal thriller rounds off the action from the division as London East  eventually prevailed by the odd goal, winning 4-3 despite London Academics goals from Faris Muntawkilu, Ali Abdalmageed and Olajide Oshunfuyi.

DIVISION THREE CUP

The last game from the group stage of the Division Three Cup pitted Old Parkonians B up against Jays with the sides starting the day level in the table. And that’s how they ended also, securing a semi-final against each other after a 0-0 draw.
