WEEK 28 REVIEW: Round-up of all the EAL league action from the weekend

SENIOR DIVISION
The Senior Division action continued back on Tuesday evening as midweek football saw Waltham Forest Borough in home action, Dylan Florence scoring both goals in a 2-0 win against Dagenham United at Parsloes Park.
Later in the week, on Friday evening, Sporting Bengal United Reserves and Greengate District started another weekend with a 1-1 battle in their derby fixture from Parsloes, an Ezekiel Ertl goal for Bengal equalled by Dominique Momba-Santos’ effort for Greengate.
On Saturday afternoon, it was another win for the league leaders as London Harts United travelled to east London to face Saint City, earning all three points following a 4-0 victory, taking their wins tally to nineteen and still unbeaten this season.
An eight-goal thriller saw CSM London eventually prevail over Haringey Borough Reserves to stay fourth as Donald Adaakwah netted two, Conrad Doggett, Junior Milla and Luke Gloire adding the other strikes for their sides fifteenth victory of the campaign.
Fairlop Rovers moved off the foot of the table with an important win at The Drive, edging the contest with Frenford Development by the odd goal in a 2-1 success, a victory which sees them close the gap on safety to ten points.
A close game at Noak Hill was settled by just the one scoring moment as FC Petrocub London maintained their hold on second spot for a while longer in an Oleh Melnychuk inspired 1-0 victory over Woodford Town Under 23s.
Continuing a theme of closely fought games, it took an odd goal to settle the late fixture at Robert Clack where Tajean Lewis scored for Dagenham United but Jude Collins and Tilond Sen goals meant it was Ongar Town leaving 2-1 winners.
It was an impressive outing for Ryan who put some daylight between themselves and any danger with a 3-0 away success over Chadwell Heath Spartans in Ilford, Ayibakuro Kwomo and Patrik Ohakwe scoring for the visitors.
Completing the action from a busy week in the division, Waltham Forest Borough added another win to their week, following up midweek success with a 4-2 away victory over Kulture with Dylan Florence scoring twice more, Jonas Borges and Deyonte Anthony with the others.
PREMIER DIVISION EAST
The league leaders, Old Barkabbeyans, moved four points clear at the top of the table following a thirteenth win of the campaign, securing a 4-0 home win over Motormen with Michael Ryder scoring two, Jean Senghor and Yunus Mussa adding the others.
Bakers693 continued their revival with an impressive victory on Saturday, netting a 7-1 home win over Athletic Newham Under 23s. Joseph McEnroe netted four for the hosts, Ben Little added two and Bradley Nortey scored the other.
It was back to winning ways for Inter Newbury who earned victory in the Dagenham derby over Kit Out London, Inter 4-2 winners courtesy of goals from Kenny Arda, Halameen Agbaje, Tyrell Spencer and Fuad Ibrahim while Omar Kaddoura scored both for the hosts in reply.
An exciting game saw the points shared in a high-scoring 3-3 draw between Romford Town Flyers and Buckhurst Hill Under 23s. Ali Rajim scored two and Max Setford one for Flyers but two Max Hart goals and one from George Burnham meant the spoils were shared.
Third placed Bealonians closed the gap on the promotion places to just three points following a narrow single goal victory, beating local rivals, Manford Way Reserves, in a 1-0 scoreline at Oakfields with Rhys Clements the man making the difference there.
That result was the all the more important as second placed AS Rapid Londra saw a home reverse in a 1-0 scoreline against Condor, the visitors netting the game’s only goal to consolidate seventh spot in the table for a while longer.
PREMIER DIVISION WEST
Vallance are now eleven points clear at the top of Premier Division West following the weekend’s results, though it needed the odd goal to make the difference as Suhayb Aftab and Yerim Sakho efforts saw them win 2-1 at home against Old Esthameians in the Newbury Park derby.
It was all three points for the Essex Cup semi-finalists as Ocean Pacific scored a 3-0 home win against FC Baresi Reserves. Carlos Solis, Eduin Aguilar and Darwin Orozco scored the goals that made the difference and pushed the hosts up to fourth place.
North East Lions arrested a recent downturn in form to record victory at home against London Cranes on Saturday as Jai Perkins’ brace and Emmanuel Omote’s goal proved enough to take home all three points, Roy Kawuma scoring for the visitors.
On an adjacent pitch, it was the visitors leaving the happier, West Essex Reserves taking home all three points from their 4-2 derby win against Onyx, a result which saw them leap above their opponents in the process on goal difference.
Completing the action was another derby fixture, this time from Douglas Eyre where Sporting Hackney were up against co-tenants, Priory Park Rangers. A five-goal thriller was settled by the odd goal by the Parrots who ended 3-2 winners to stay in the top half.
DIVISION ONE CUP
In the Division One Cup, delayed first round action saw Sich London eventually prevail and book a place in the last sixteen following a 3-1 win against Saint City Reserves as Vasyl Paskar’s brace and a Serhii Hura goal separated the sides, Emmanuel Hammond scoring for Saints in reply.
Royal Forest bounced back from league defeat last weekend to earn a place in the quarter finals of the cup, defeating Get Rich Together 7-1. Stanley Kweya scored a hat-trick off the bench, Eoin Coughlan, Daniel Thompson, Remel Green and Jake Tibbitts with the others while Jake Cameron netted the GRT consolation.
DIVISION ONE EAST
Lymore Gardens Reserves moved to within a point of the promotion places in Division One East with a 4-2 victory over Dagenham United Reserves. Callum Fisher, William Davies, Tafari Miller and Kai Haysman goals overcame Dagenham goals from Charlie Landers and Tajay Smith.
The same margin of victory was secured by FC Alpha as their trip to Parsloes Park proved a fruitful one following a 2-0 win over Chadwell Heath Spartans Reserves where Alexandru Petcu and Denis Musteata both scored in the win.
Old Parkonians A were comfortable winners in Barkingside where a couple of Charlie Fiander goals and one from Ben Allen were the difference in a 2-0 home win over Old Barkabbeyans Reserves, that taking Parks’ winning record to seven for the season.
DIVISION TWO
It was wins for both of the top two sides in Division Two as Iona Wheels recorded another victory, beating Lymore Gardens Under 23s 3-1 in east London aided by goals from Alfie Karby, Lewis Deacon and Ross Cosson.
Eastside Foundation continue to pose a threat from the chasing position, putting another high-scoring win onto their record following a 6-0 away victory at Thurrock Thameside. Asher Modeste’s hat-trick paved the way with Jack Houston-Taylor, Charlie Biggs and Ashdon Houston-Taylor adding other goals.
Also producing a big win were Kulture Reserves who saw off Chingford Harriers in a 5-1 scoreline in Walthamstow through Moussa Traore’s double and singles from Bless-Light Lubaki, Seyed Arfaei and Luis Mota. Connor Bailey struck for Harriers in consolation.
It was a day of celebration for Freetown on Saturday, recording their first win of the season with a 2-0 success against tenth placed London Academics with Joshua Bomolo and manager, David Saffa, both on the scoresheet in the win.
DIVISION THREE CUP
Old Parkonians B followed up their county cup success from a week ago with a big win in the Division Three Cup, beating Cobra in a 4-1 scoreline to confirm their semi-final place. Thomas Metcalfe’s double added to Aaron Campbell and Zion Adefarakan goals while Blane Barwock netted for Cobra.
An effective quarter-final game from Westlands saw Romford Town Flyers A secure their place in the top four following a narrow 3-2 win at home against Upminster Albion with Ronnie Challis, Jack Walsh and Martin Gee goals enough in the end, George Cornwell and Jack Cornhill responding for Albion.
DIVISION THREE
Back in the league, two promotion seeking sides met in Dagenham where it was Buckhurst Way leaving with all three points following a 2-0 win over Jays, a result which closes the gap between the two sides to eight points.
COUNTY CUP
It was semi-final day in the Essex Junior Trophy where CSM London Under 23s travelled to the south east of the county to take on Rochford Sports Reserves. A goalless ninety minutes meant extra-time and it was there that Rochford netted twice to prevail 2-0 to book their place in the final.
