FENTON TROPHY

In the Fenton Trophy, Royal Forest are one step away from a return to the final stage as they avoided any potential cupset against Division Two’s CSM London Under 23s, the hosts completing a 5-0 win to book a place in the last four.

SENIOR DIVISION

There were some big wins on Friday evening, beginning with the game from Coles Park where Haringey Borough Reserves were in strong goal scoring form, netting six without reply to beat Saint City in a 6-0 scoreline.

At Parsloes Park, there were also six goals in the game there too as Greengate District wrapped up a strong three point performance in a 5-1 home win over Fairlop Rovers. Berthol Penka scored a hat-trick, Ruben Silva and Melih Saglam adding the others.

It was defeat at home for Ongar Town who were up against Kulture at Wodson Park under the lights on Friday evening and, despite a Town goal for Max Galati, were on the wrong end of a 3-1 win for Kulture who took the points back down the A10.

Just the one match survived the elements on Saturday afternoon and that came from Noak Hill as FC Petrocub London struck five in their game with Dagenham United to run out 5-0 winners. Nicolai Gutu scored two with Igor Boiciuc, Ghenadie Moisei and Mykhailo Romanets adding the others.

PREMIER DIVISION CUP

The top two West division leaders met in cup action with Newham Wanderers the side leaving the happier against Vallance, winning 4-2 courtesy of two Emmanuel Chukwumah efforts and one each from Muhammed Camara and Joao Mendes. Suhayb Aftab and Mikie Robinson scored for Vallance in reply.

In the other completed tie from the weekend, it was a strong performance from East representatives, Old Barkabbeyans, who took the honours in a 6-0 away win over Onyx. Michael Ryder scored a hat-trick with Hamsa Duale, Thomas Green and Ryan Conway adding the gloss on the result.

PREMIER DIVISION EAST

The biggest winners in the Premier Division East this week were Buckhurst Hill Under 23s who rattled in eight goals without reply against Condor, winning 8-0 courtesy of four Tyler Dolan goals, two from Archie Hammond, plus goals from Alfie Padington and Max Handley.

There was a five goal thriller too at Parsloes Park where AS Rapid Londra eventually prevailed in their clash with Inter Newbury, 3-2 winners after goals from each of Vlad Bucur, Andi Hotoi and Daniel Ilie to send their side four points clear at the summit.

PREMIER DIVISION WEST

Premier Division West saw just the one game survive the elements and that saw Unitey recover from a goal deficit to North East Lions, Jai Perkins firing them ahead, to record a late 2-1 victory helped by goals from Philip Kumi and Brandon Fulton.

DIVISION ONE CUP

Bealonians Reserves produced one of the shocks of the day as they scored all five goals in a 5-0 win over West division leaders, Hackney Wanderers, courtesy of goals from Lucas Folwell, Ashley Webster and Albert Webb.

There was a near miss also for Parsonage Leys who scraped through on penalties from their game against UK Moldova after the match had ended locked at 2-2, Dwayne Smith and Byron Opeodu scoring for the hosts. Parsonage won the shootout and now take their place in the last eight.

Joining them in the last eight will be Redbridge Community who saw off Lymore Gardens Reserves 5-3 with Kwesi Botchey, Luke Matthews, Henry Asare, Gabriel Ogunwomoju and Samuel Abundant netting. Rayshun Codner, Jordan Monk and Adam Maazouz goals accounted for the Lymore consolations.

DIVISION ONE EAST

There was just the one game in Division One East and it ended all square following a close match between Dagenham United Reserves and FC Alpha, a couple of Sandu Muntean goals enough to help the latter take a point in a 2-2 draw.

DIVISION ONE WEST

SP United sit just a point off the promotion places in Division One West after their eighth win of the season on Saturday, securing a 5-0 win against Saint City Reserves in east London. Richard Arhin extended his goal scoring form with a hat-trick, Isa Bham and Luca Jeffries with other strikes.

DIVISION THREE CUP

It was victory in the Division Three Cup for Old Parkonians B who leapt above their opponents, Upminster Albion, into third spot in the group following a 4-0 win at Belhus Park aided by two Emeka Ezeleu goals and one from Daniel Louis.

COUNTY CUP

It was a difficult afternoon in the BBC Essex Premier Cup for Waltham Forest Borough who were up against Old Southendian at Parsloes Park and succumbed after an indifferent first half in which they went 4-0 down. An improved second half saw them get one back but it ended 4-1 to end their run in the competition.
