With little over 3 weeks remaining until the 2014/15 season gets underway on 6th September, clubs are putting those final touches to what everybody hopes will be a successful season ahead.

There is plenty to be done behind the scenes of course before the first fixture can kick off so we have issued guidance below to club secretaries on the upcoming deadlines approaching.

Club information directory

Thank you to all clubs who provided us with their Club Information Forms which have now been passed to our printer who is rapidly producing the handbooks for this season. You will also notice that some of this information is already appearing on the website in the Clubs directory although this will be completed gradually. If you spot any errors within information on the website, let us know.

Clubs will receive handbooks at the full council meeting on Monday 1st September at which time there will be a chance to notify the league of any amendments/corrections to the information provided when we will go through the handbooks.

Mailing list

Any email addresses that have been provided to us by clubs as primary or alternative contacts have all been added to our League mailing list so that everybody receives the news updates which are published on the website.

Using this facility will ensure that any news that is published is communicated to everybody as quickly and efficiently as possible throughout the season. The mailing list will automatically send an email the following day that the post is made on the website.

Please get as many people as possible from your clubs to sign up for this facility.

Referee directory and allocations

Our referee directory is now up and running on the website and we thank all of our match officials who have applied to officiate on the league this season. There has been a terrific response this year from referees and we hope to maintain excellent coverage figures this season.

Our Referees Secretary, Alan Spike, will soon be allocating the September fixtures to officials during next week so please keep an eye on the fixtures page for updates. 

Payment of league fees

The deadline for paying league fees is the end of this week. We are aware that some clubs may have difficulties in meeting this deadline so, if you will not be able to pay on time, you must communicate this with Treasurer, David Flatt, or General Secretary, Barry Fitzgerald through the website or by telephone. 

Player registrations deadline - 1st September

Thank you to clubs who have already submitted some of their player registrations which is a great help due to the volume we receive at this time of year. Confirmed registrations will soon appear on your Club page under the "Registrations" tab and it should be remembered that no player is eligible until he appears on this list.

For clubs who haven't already done so, we require a minimum of 11 players to have been registered with the League by Monday 1st September 2014. If you want to give these to us at the meeting on 1st September, that is fine.

Website and logins

The website itself is nearing full completion after a summer of hard graft and I hope that you will find it a useful resource for the coming season. There is a significant amount of information on the website now which will hopefully assist and inform club officials, referees and players alike.

Club secretaries and referees will soon receive an email with login information that will allow them to access the web portal during the season and submit electronic result e-cards. Further instructions will be provided to explain how this works.

It is strongly recommended that clubs have more than one person with access to the system in case of holidays and absence for the main login holder. Can clubs therefore please advise Rob Parker of who else will require access through the contact form.
