FENTON CUP

A repeat of last year’s Fenton Cup Final saw Chadwell Heath Spartans and FC Petrocub meet at Dagenham on Saturday night in front of another healthy crowd in excess of 800. An incredibly tight match saw the only goal of the game scored late on by Ghenadie Moisei to hand Petrocub the trophy with a 1-0 win.

FENTON TROPHY

Earlier in the day at Dagenham, in hot conditions, FC Alpha were up against Get Rich Together where after a goalless first half, Mohammed Malik and Eni Akinola both struck with fine efforts for GRT, Caganovschi Victor pulling one back late on. But GRT clung on and won 2-1 to take home the Fenton Trophy!

PREMIER DIVISION EAST

A vital game was played out on Saturday as Bakers693 secured their Premier status with a hugely important 4-2 win over the champions, Old Barkabbeyans. Abderahmane Souaber and Bilal Naeem struck for Barks with Joseph McEnroe (2), Robbie Farrell and Teddy Bowden efforts winning it.

Over in Barkingside, runners-up, Bealonians, took all three points in their penultimate match against Romford Town Flyers with Rhys Clements scoring two, Jamie Jones, Cornelius Wilton-Waddell, Ashley Farrer and Louie Morales the others. Ali Rajim scored both in reply for Romford.

PREMIER DIVISION WEST

It was all or nothing for Newham Wanderers on Wednesday night at Parsloes Park, securing a vital 3-1 win over Ocean Pacific to take the title. Muhammed Camara, Robertson Morais and Pedro Sami goals done the job to earn the silverware as we congratulate all at Newham on their success this term.

PREMIER PLAY-OFF

It was East vs West on Monday afternoon at Parsloes Park where the two divisional champions met. One of hottest days on record made it hard work for the players but Michael Ryder's hat-trick for Old Barkabbeyans proved the difference between the sides on the day as they ran out 3-1 victors over Newham Wanderers.

DIVISION ONE EAST

On Wednesday evening, FC Alpha prevailed 5-3 over Romford Town Flyers Reserves in their penultimate league fixture. Serghei Scupoi’s brace plus efforts from Igor Marmulat, Sandu Muntean and Ilie Lungu were enough, overcoming Jack Walsh, Alfie Sasse and Ronnie Challis efforts.

Attentions then turned to a huge match on Saturday afternoon where Loughton Town needed to win to take promotion but ended on the wrong end of a 3-1 defeat against Chadwell Heath Spartans Reserves. Owen Rami, Deren Kale and Emmanuel Aworinde scored the goals, rendering Will Osmond’s effort just a consolation.

DIVISION ONE PLAY-OFF

The top two sides from Division One met at Parsloes Park on Monday lunchtime as Hackney Wanderers took an early lead in their game with Royal Forest. The latter responded strongly however and levelled soon after before two second half goals saw Royal Forest take home the silverware with a 3-1 victory.
