As we reach the middle of July, preparations are very much underway for the new season with football resuming in the Essex Alliance League for some clubs in just a matter of weeks.

In order to ensure we can get underway with the new season on time, all secretaries have been sent the following guide which outlines their duties for the weeks ahead and we'd ask you to give this some attention.

County affiliation
Arrange affiliation with county FA (i.e. Essex FA or London FA)
For Essex FA, speak with Fran Smith (01245) 393083,

Affiliation process for new clubs will involve agreeing the name of the club, providing a club code of conduct/rules (templates available) and evidence of a bank account in the club’s name

While affiliating...

Arrange personal injury insurance (mandatory requirement)
All clubs are required to have a minimum level of personal injury insurance in place through before the affiliation can be completed. For this season, the FA’s appointed broker is Sportsguard.

Register players onto the Whole Game System.
You should have a login for the system as it would have been made during the process of affiliating -

For those unsure on how to use the Whole Game System for registrations, this video from the FA will assist you with the basic fundamentals:

All teams must have at least 11 players registered with the league at least 3 days prior to your first fixture. You can of course register as many players as you want/need after this also, including up to a maximum three on the day of the match. The window closes again on 31st March next year.
