WEEK 38 REVIEW: Round-up of all the EAL league and cup action from the past week

DIVISION TWO CUP FINAL

Royal Forest made it a league and cup double last Tuesday evening as they produced the goods at New Lodge to beat Old Barkabbeyans Reserves 3-0. Eoin Coughlan started off the scoring with Daniel Thompson's solo effort extending that and Remel Green adding the icing.

PREMIER DIVISION CUP FINAL

The first trip to Dagenham & Redbridge on Thursday night pitted Inter Newbury up against Sporting Bengal United Reserves on a tightly contested Premier Division Cup Final.  It was Dawid Potoczek who was the hero of the night, coming off the bench to score a real corker and win it 1-0 for Newbury.

FENTON TROPHY FINAL

Saturday afternoon's epic Fenton Trophy Final saw the highest scoring game of all time as Royal Forest and Chadwell Heath Spartans shared eleven goals in a 6-5 victory for Spartans.Jack Chawner and Jonathan Evans both scored two, Brodie Gingell and Usher Kasirye adding the others for the cup winners.

FENTON CUP FINAL

On Saturday evening, a crowd in excess of 700 were present to watch the conclusion of the Fenton Cup where Billy Gipp put Chadwell Heath Spartans ahead only for Nicolai Gutu to level it for FC Petrocub at 1-1 to take it to penalties. Just the one blemish in the shootout for Petrocub was enough for Spartans to make it two wins on the day!

PREMIER DIVISION EAST

The final East division fixture of the season saw Waltham Abbey A in home action with the visit of Barkingside Reserves to Newbury Park. It was fifth placed 'Side who left the happier of the clubs in a 7-2 winning performance to end with nine league wins for the season.

DIVISION ONE

It's congratulations to Condor who completed the win they needed in their final game of the season to take the league title with Darius Darie's brace and a Liviu Tihon goal earning them a 3-0 away win against Old Esthameians in Newbury Park. Well done to everybody involved at the club on a great achievement!

DIVISION TWO

Old Barkabbeyans Reserves kept themselves in with a chance of a promotion finish in Division Two as they rounded off a busy last week or so with an important 4-2 win at home to Haringey United. Jean Senghor, Jeffrey Ikhatalor, Tunji Ebun-Cole and Owen Thompson were all on target for Barks who have one game to go.
