SENIOR DIVISION

On Friday evening, Waltham Forest Borough saw a return to winning form with a hard fought 2-1 away victory over Ongar Town at Wodson Park with Dylan Florence netting both for Borough, Ethan Hook striking for Town.

Further down the Cambridge Road, it was Haringey Borough Reserves at home with Ryan the visitors at Coles Park in a game which ended locked at 2-2, leaving the sides placed in ninth and eleventh respectively.

The action continued on Saturday afternoon where Chadwell Heath Spartans scored both goals in their home clash with Dagenham United, Joshua George and Ryan O’Connell netting in a 2-0 Spartans win.

It was second versus third at Noak Hill where FC Petrocub London ended the game leapfrogging opponents, CSM London, after a closely fought 2-1 win helped by Ion Spinu and David-Stelian Potinteu goals. Cyril Pluche grabbed the CSM goal in reply.

A seven-goal thriller rounds off the action with Woodford Town Under 23s beating Greengate District 4-3 through Jayden Bangura, Max McGovern, Myles Weekes and Bora Alici goals. Chukwudi Mokwenye scored two and Patrick Enoh-Arhur one in reply.

PREMIER DIVISION CUP

The Premier Division Cup saw FC Baresi Reserves produce a terrific away victory to send county cup semi-finalists, Ocean Pacific, out after a 5-0 scoreline with Benjamin Warren, Harlem Anderson, Filippo Lovascio, Sertan Kirman and Ali Shikheey all netting.

PREMIER DIVISION EAST

In Premier Division East, it was Old Barkabbeyans who regained top spot after a 2-1 away win over Something From Nothing in which Michael Ryder was the difference, his two goals eventually separating the sides.

That result was all the more important after Buckhurst Hill Under 23s produced an important win that saw them defeat AS Rapid Londra in a 2-1 scoreline. Jason Balde and Max Hart both scored for Hill in their win.

Another side to benefit from that outcome were Manford Way Reserves who closed the gap on the leading sides in a 4-1 home victory over Condor with Tyrell Holder scoring two, Rashid Rubea and Tariq El Hafidi scoring the goals. Ion Scurtu struck Condor’s consolation.

It was also a 4-1 scoreline for Kit Out London as they recorded a victory at Parsloes Park over Romford Town Flyers, overcoming Ali Rajim’s goal with two Bobby Brown goals and one each from Charles Ariwa and Tarik Aciyian.

The late game at Parsloes saw sixth placed Inter Newbury host bottom of the table, Bakers693 in a local derby where the latter earned a valuable win to move to within a point of safety, beating Newbury 4-2.

PREMIER DIVISION WEST

In the West division, Vallance continued their push for silverware with a comprehensive 9-1 victory over North East Lions where Suhayb Aftab and Victor Ewa both scored two, Kudus Olowe, Mikie Robinson, Oscar Harris, Luke Stewart and Kaywan Khourshid all struck, Jai Perkins scoring Lions’ consolation.

The other surviving game from the division came from Flanders where London Cranes were playing host to West Essex Reserves, the latter ending the game 4-0 winners to move six points clear of their opponents.

DIVISION ONE EAST

There were plenty of goals in Division One East, beginning with the battle between the top two where Loughton Town edged a 4-3 thriller against Royal Forest to keep the title chase alive, Will Osmond scoring two, Ben Stone and Billy Jennings with the others.

That same scoreline was reflected at Westlands where FC Alpha took the points in a 4-3 win over Romford Town Flyers Reserves. Louis Albon scored two and Jack Walsh one for the hosts but Denis Musteata’s brace, plus singles from Maxim Baciu and Igor Mamulat proved just too much.

Seven goals were also produced in the game at Parsloes Park where Lymore Gardens Reserves were more comfortable winners in a 5-2 success over Old Parkonians A. Callum Fisher scored two, Gaston Mendy, Rayshun Codner and Artem Lukash adding others, while Shane Hovell and Charlie Fiander scored in reply for Parks.

It was eight goals in a thriller of a contest at Lakeside Sports Ground where Old Barkabbeyans Reserves took a share of the points against promotion chasing Redbridge Community, 4-4 the final scoreline. Shola Shonibare scored two, Delphin Xavier and Jay Elliott also notching.

The remaining game came from Robert Clack where Bealonians Reserves were in winning form to take all three points home in a 3-1 away victory over Dagenham United Reserves as Harris Hayter, Max Robson and Ashley Webster goals overcame Charlie Landers’ strike for the hosts.

DIVISION ONE WEST

Parsonage Leys were the biggest winners in Division One West as they stayed in touch with the leaders following a 6-0 home win over SP United as Jake Turner scored twice, Leon Arif, Kyle Johnson and Leon Bodkin one each.

That result also allowed Leyton City to climb up into third as they beat Tajik Unity in a 5-0 scoreline at Wadham Lodge through a couple of goals each from Borja Quan and Daniel Ionga, Melchisedek Kalenga with the other goal.

It was a win by the odd goal for Saint City Reserves in the evening game at Parsloes Park as Emmanuel Hammond scored two, Dimitar Nedyalkov striking the third in a 3-2 win for their side over UK Moldova.

DIVISION TWO

Eastside Foundation scored seven goals without reply in Hainault to produce a 7-0 win against Freetown in Division Two as Bailey Childs scored four, Ryan Taylor, Joshua Junaid and Bruce Gaynor.

The leaders, Iona Wheels, needed a couple of late goals to come from behind against Glendale to win 3-2, Alfie Karby, Luke Fearne and Michael Ogedengbe all netting after Abdulair Ahmed and Braulio Costa had put the Dales ahead.

The third game from Hainault saw London East in home action with a fixture against London Academics and they ended up 5-1 winners with Joseph Olatunji, Joshua Ayeni, Jayden Barrow, Prince Saint-Gyamfi and Jordan Brown all scoring.

DIVISION THREE CUP

Buckhurst Way have gone top of the group in the Division Three Cup with a game to do as they netted a 4-2 home win over Upminster Albion at Bancrofts, George Cornwell scoring his customary two goals for the visitors.

COUNTY CUP

It’s congratulations to Old Parkonians B who have secured a place in the final of the AFA Intermediate Novets Cup in March following a 4-2 win in the last four against Actonians Association, setting up a showdown against Wandsworth Borough.

It was the end of the road however for one of our sides in the AFA competitions as  Bealonians exited the AFA Senior Cup after a 4-0 defeat against Alexandra Park at Parsloes Park at the quarter-final stage.
