In a wet and windy Week 21 of the season, five matches were lost to the elements with nine managing to reach a conclusion.

Top of the bill this week was in Division One where top side Blue Marlin met St Johns Deaf in second place, the latter with games in hand on their close rivals. A thrilling affair saw Blue Marlin edge a 3-2 win as St Johns mounted late pressure. Scott Campbell, Matthew Hamilton and Keiron James found the net for Marlin cancelling out goals from Huseyin Er and James Paull in reply. Also in Division One, third placed Vittoriosa Falcons slipped to a 2-1 defeat against Lord Nelson despite another Daniel Vearer strike. That result gave Three Colts the chance to close the gap on Falcons and they didn’t disappoint as they beat Forest Green by the odd goal in a 2-1 scoreline. Northend picked up a valuable win on the road at London Bari Res in winning 4-0 as Chris Margiotta, Ryan Leddra, Timi Olaniyan and Chris Hubble all found the back of the net.

May & Baker EC A opened up a twelve-point gap in the Premier Division as they recorded a 3-1 away win at St Francis. Shane Messenger, Darren Seymour and Lewis Edmunds were the men on target to secure the points. There was also an exciting game at Eastside Rangers where visitors AAH Romford edged to a win by the odd goal in seven in a 4-3 scoreline with Steven Richard’s double plus strikes from Ryan Quincey and Douglas Gray securing the win for Romford.

West Essex Res continue their unbeaten record in Division Two after a 3-1 win at Northend Res. A Lucas Adeyefa strike for Northend was cancelled by winning goals from Adam Norris, Karl Warman and Luke Edmead as West Essex close the gap on the top two sides. Leyton Green returned to winning ways with a 5-2 win at Newham Royals courtesy of an Andrew Overton brace and goals from Bradley O’Donovan, Wyndell Foster and Jermaine Kittoe. Paul Wooster’s double strike handed Custom House a 2-1 win at home to Dagenham United.
