FENTON CUP

An all-Senior Division third round tie opened the weekend where Greengate District and Waltham Forest Borough finished 2-2 with goals from Josh Coulson and Melih Saglam for Greengate and Dean Florence netting two for Borough. It was Borough who then won the shootout 5-4 to move into the quarter finals.

FENTON TROPHY

There was a cupset in the Fenton Trophy this weekend as Division Two’s Kulture Reserves saw off higher ranked opposition with a 5-4 shootout win against Parsonage Leys after Seyed Arfaei and Bless Lubaki goals had earnt them a 2-2 draw.

SENIOR DIVISION

On Friday night also, Ongar Town were at home against an improving Woodford Town Under 23s side at Wodson Park and the teams couldn’t be separated by the end in a 1-1 draw with Yuki Edogiawerie scoring for the hosts and Trey Alexzander-Roberts responding.

Leaders London Harts United have moved eleven points clear at the summit following the weekend’s results, edging a close game by the odd goal in a 2-1 win over Haringey Borough Reserves for whom Elliott Joseph was on the scoresheet.

There was a seven-goal thriller at The Drive where Sporting Bengal United Reserves struck three goals through a Ezekiel Ertl brace and Steven Bohan’s goal only for Chadwell Heath Spartans to win it 4-3 with goals from Richmond Ampaabeng, Billy Gipp, Ryan O’Connell and Brandon Johnson.

Another close game saw Kulture edge their way to three points in a 3-2 home victory over Dagenham United where Koray Ahmet, Mason Rees and Scott Durojaiye all netted, overcoming Dagenham goals from Yusuf Cetin and Adjilson Santo.

Thirteenth placed Frenford Development had Khari Pobi to thank for a crucial three points as his brace set them up for a 2-1 win on the road at third placed Saint City, Frenford’s third league win of the season.

In the early game at The Foundry, it was all three points for the hosts as CSM London earned a victory over relegation-threatened Fairlop Rovers, Cyril Pluche scoring two and Junior Milla the other in a 3-0 success.

Over at Noak Hill, Ryan ensured they remained outside of the relegation zone for another week at least with a vital away win over FC Petrocub London, the visitors scoring three without reply in a 3-0 win.

PREMIER DIVISION EAST

Old Barkabbeyans are top of the table in the East division as Thomas Green scored two, Hamsa Duale, Shane Cook and Lucas Jimack the others in a 5-1 win against Buckhurst Hill Under 23s, Harrison Wickens scoring Hill’s goal.

Third placed Bealonians remain the only unbeaten side in the division and they kept that record alive with a 2-0 victory over Athletic Newham Under 23s on Saturday with a goal apiece from Samuel Hawkes and Joseph Jones.

Romford Town Flyers were also in scoring form, netting four in a home victory over Condor at Westlands. Max Setford scored twice for them with Leonardo Lopes and Ali Rajim adding the others in a 4-1 final scoreline.

It took seven goals to separate Inter Newbury and Motormen where Brandon Dadson, Dillon Onasanyo, Kasai Ilunga and Brandon Nguyen goals gave Motormen a 4-3 win. Kenny Arda, Jordan Gallagher and Halameen Agbaje struck for Newbury in consolation.

Another close game came in the Dagenham derby where hosts Kit Out London prevailed by the odd goal against Bakers693, overcoming Enock Soganile’s strike with goals from Bobby Brown and Emmanuel Balogun in a 2-1 success.

The game from Fairlop Oak ended all square in a high-scoring draw as Manford Way Reserves drew 3-3 with AS Rapid Londra. Josh Woodcock and Marcel McDonald goals were equalled by two Andrei Boga and one Wangel Nvima efforts.

PREMIER DIVISION WEST

Unitey were in fine goal-scoring form, netting ten against Old Esthameians. Abdualhakim Mahammed and Ahmed Dousa both scored four goals, Mubarak Mohammed adding two others in a 10-2 win. Nelson Goncalves and Mohammed Ahmed scored for E’s in reply.

Eighth placed Ocean Pacific produced one of the results of the day in Walthamstow as they sent leaders, Newham Wanderers, to a first defeat of the season after a 3-2 win, despite Muhammed Camara’s double to get Wanderers back in the game.

It was also the taste of defeat for Vallance too who saw their unbeaten run conclude too with a narrow 2-1 away defeat against Sporting Hackney in Walthamstow where Kudus Olowe’s goal wasn’t quite enough.

Another close game came from the same venue where Priory Park Rangers and Onyx couldn’t be separated after ninety minutes as they ended 2-2, Kamal Kenyon and Gideon Adomakoh scoring for Onyx.

DIVISION ONE EAST

There were plenty of goals in Division One East too where an eight-goal thriller saw Old Parkonians A leave as 5-3 winners from their game against Lymore Gardens Reserves as Charlie Fiander netted two, Ashley Collins, Burt Cardy and Billy Mason the others.

Just across the lane at the Jack Carter Pavillion, it was the visitors leaving with the points in the game between Bealonians Reserves and FC Alpha as Serghei Scupoi netted two, Igor Mamulat and Liviu Nistreanu the others in a 4-0 victory.

Over at Lakeside, there were six goals in the game between hosts Redbridge Community and Romford Town Flyers Reserves where David Williams, Jeff Onuh, Cuba Gill and Adam Abdelaziz goals gave Redbridge a 4-2 win, despite Jack Walsh and Louis Albon efforts in reply.

The game at Robert Clack saw just a couple of goals and they both went the way of the visitors as Chadwell Heath Spartans Reserves took the honours in a 2-0 win against Dagenham United Reserves.

DIVISION ONE WEST

The gap at the top of Division One West is down to just a single point as leaders, Leyton City, were held to a 1-1 draw in their away trip to UK Moldova, the leaders’ goal arriving from Daniel Little.

That result enabled Hackney Wanderers to move up close behind the leaders, overcoming a Get Rich Together fightback to win 3-2 with Michael Morgan scoring two and Ryan Lewis one. Maxwell Shaw and Isaiah Djobega scored for GRT in reply.

Third placed SP United are also just a point off the leaders, albeit from a game more, securing themselves a big 4-0 win on the road against Tajik Unity through Richard Arhin’s hat-trick and Luca Jeffries’ goal.

It ended locked at 2-2 in a tight game at Redbridge Sports Centre where London Park City took a valuable point against Changing Lives with Emmanuel Anum and Dawod Abakr scoring the visitors’ goals.

Another two sides who couldn’t be separated were the teams in action in East Ham where Saint City Reserves started and ended the day with a six point lead over Sich London, that game ending goalless at 0-0.

DIVISION TWO

CSM London Under 23s came from behind to earn another crucial three points, beating Chingford Harriers 3-2 in Beckton courtesy of a goal apiece from Healing Bussolino, Ahmed Sylla and Joel Momba.

Asher Modeste was in fine goal scoring form as he netted four for Eastside Foundation in a 6-2 away win over London East, Ryan Taylor and Tyler Houston-Taylor adding the others in the victory.

In the early game at Lakeside, there were eight goals in the game between Thurrock Thameside and Freetown where the hosts recorded a 5-3 win to move up into seventh spot in the table.

It ended locked all square at 2-2 in the final game from the division as Lymore Gardens Under 23s held London Academics to a 3-3 draw at the County Ground, Academics ending the game where they started with a one point advantage over their opponents.
