FENTON TROPHY

Dagenham United Reserves overcame a higher placed side in the second round of the Fenton Trophy, beating Hackney Wanderers in a 6-4 win. Charlie Landers, Formoso Da Silva and Cain Dash all netted braces, Ryan Lewis and Joshua Sawuna netting for Hackney in reply.

Two high-flying sides met in the game between Leyton City and Bealonians Reserves in another east versus west battle, won 4-2 eventually by City for whom Borja Quan scored two, Kafel Brown and Stelange Nzeza with the others. Aaron Porter and Max Robson scored for Beals in consolation.

The third round action of the day pitted Division Two’s Eastside Foundation up against a higher-ranked side with Division One’s title chasing Royal Forest in town. A close game saw Forest leave winners, 3-2 the scoreline, and through to the quarter-finals.

SENIOR DIVISION CUP

The first semi-finalist of the season was confirmed on Tuesday as a local derby match saw Chadwell Heath Spartans up against Frenford Development. Just a single goal was enough in the end as James Ikotun scored the goal for Frenford for them to win it 1-0.

SENIOR DIVISION

The Friday night action saw two of the top seven sides meet at Parsloes Park as Greengate District scored both of the goals in a 2-0 win against third placed Ongar Town. Patrick Enoh-Arhur and Durciel Mampono scored the goals in the win.

Haringey Borough Reserves started the day trailing Sporting Bengal United Reserves by a point but ended it two clear of them after a 3-1 at Coles Park, helped by goals from Nacer Ahmed, Narcis Filip and Salifou Sidibe. Ezekiel Ertl struck on his Bengal debut.

There were some big results on Saturday, firstly as Fairlop Rovers moved off the bottom with a strong 2-1 winning performance against FC Petrocub London at Noak Hill, carrying them up two places into fourteenth.

Up at the Harlow Arena, London Harts United, missed the chance to extend their lead at the top, held to a 3-3 draw against Frenford Development with Michael Olatunji, George Mwale and Anthony Ralenekov goals equalled by those from Beau Samuels, Peter Oyetunji and Tyler Shillingford.

Saint City were another side to take advantage of other results around them, edging their home clash with Ryan by the odd goal to win 3-2 with Richard Seixas scoring two and Harry Carter one.

PREMIER DIVISION EAST

In Premier East, Bealonians cut the gap at the top to three points, taking advantage of other results around them in a 2-1 away win against Manford Way Reserves, Cornelius Wilton-Waddell, Samuel Hawkes, Joseph Jones and Rhys Clements with the Beals’ goals.

Old Barkabbeyans were able to climb into third spot on the back of their away victory on Saturday, defeating Bakers693 by the odd goal in a 2-1 scoreline with Thomas Green and Keenan Lewis scoring the all important goals.

There was a fourth win of the season for Inter Newbury who climb to seventh place after a 2-1 victory at the leaders, AS Rapid Londra. Ethan Onyait-Etemewei and Kyron Chiedozie both scored for Newbury with Vasile Copilus scoring for Rapid off the bench.

In the Fairlop derby match, it was Something From Nothing who left the happier from their clash with Motormen, securing just a second win in a 5-1 success. Aaron Francis-Hendricks, Mike Nduakulu, David Prenga and Tim Yenge-Yala all found the net in the win.

PREMIER DIVISION WEST

In the West division, the biggest winners of the day were Newham Wanderers who rattled in four goals in a 4-0 success at home to Priory Park Rangers with Jamil Gaawo, Mussa Jamanca, Robertson Morais and Pedro Sami all scoring in the win.

Second placed Vallance sit just a point behind following their 3-0 win over London Cranes in Newbury Park. Kudus Olowe, Mikie Robinson and Kelvin Gomes all scored for the promotion chasing side.

Unitey sit in third spot in the table following the weekend’s results, recording a 3-1 home win against Onyx in Loughton courtesy of a couple of Mubarak Mohammed goals and one from Mohammed Yassin.

The final game from the division came from Newbury Park where it was honours even in the clash between Old Esthameians and North East Lions, sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw as Olawale Kareem and Shaquille Amara scored for their respective sides.

DIVISION ONE EAST

It was a tight affair across all three Division One East matches, beginning at Parsloes Park where Redbridge Community netted a 3-2 win over Chadwell Heath Spartans Reserves despite Spartan goals from Brodie Gingell and Samir Aboulainaf.

Another game at Parsloes ended all square as Lymore Gardens Reserves were held to a 1-1 draw against Romford Town Flyers Reserves, that being the latter’s first point of a difficult season so far.

In the game at South Park Drive, it was another close game between Old Barkabbeyans Reserves and FC Alpha as Tyler Turner’s goal for Barks was equalled by Serghei Scupoi in an eventual 1-1 draw.

DIVISION ONE WEST

Parsonage Leys have closed the gap on the leaders in the West to just two points after wrapping up another win, beating UK Moldova in a 4-2 scoreline at Royal Docks with Dwayne Smith, Costa Azzopardi, Joshua Wilkening and Leon Arif netting.

There was a seven-goal thriller in Walthamstow where Sich London left with the win, beating SP United 4-3. Richard Arhin scored two and Israel Bokoko one but Sich goals from Yehor Dudukalenko, Vladyslav Kyrychenko, Valentin and Vladimir Svidruk proved just enough.

In the battle of two of the sides looking to beat the drop, it was advantage to London Park City who moved away from the bottom against Tajik Unity, scoring all three goals in a 3-0 win at Redbridge Sports Centre.

DIVISION TWO

In Division Two, Kulture Reserves climb into third spot following a 4-2 victory over Chingford Harriers, making it five wins for the season. Dylan Bonsu scored two, Sergio Mata and Moussa Traore with the others, cancelling out Regan Marshall and Huai-Ginn Oliver goals.

It was also a good afternoon for CSM London Under 23s who came through a tough test in their away trip to Glendale, winning 2-1 through efforts from substitutes Emmanuel Apalata-Mbembe and Healing Bussolino, Jelka Tabukenga scoring the Dales’ goal.

It ended in a high-scoring draw in north London as London Academics held leaders, Iona Wheels, to a 4-4 draw with Terril Blake-Alleyne scoring a hat-trick and Olajide Oshunfuyi one, equalled by two Lewis Deacon goals and one each from Billy Allison and Luke Fearne.

There was a win for Lymore Gardens Under 23s also as they record all three points in a 3-1 home victory against Freetown at the County Ground. Marvis Idehen scored for Freetown but that wasn’t quite enough in the end.

It was a vital win for tenth placed Thurrock Thameside also who made it two wins for the season after a 4-2 victory against London East, keeping them in touch with the sides above in the table.

DIVISION THREE

It was a big win for Cobra who beat Bocas Jogabonito in a 13-3 win with Blane Barwick and Luke Joy scoring hat-tricks, Ashley Grace scoring two, Todd Bolger, Hamud and Harun Mohammed, Sam Wise and Jamie Cridland scoring one each. Ross Payton scored a hat-trick for Bocas in reply.

There was a win also for Old Parkonians B who scored both goals in Barkingside against Buckhurst Way to take the points, 2-0 the final scoreline, with Emeka Ezeleu and Alex Davey Hardcastle scoring the goals.

It ended all level in an eight-goal thriller in the final game from the division as Upminster Albion settled for a point in their game with Romford Town Flyers A, George Cornwell dining out with all four goals for Albion.

COUNTY CUP

Sporting Hackney were involved in second round London Senior Trophy action on Wednesday evening with a trip to Step 6 side Clapton Community at the Old Spotted Dog, reducing a two goal deficit just after the break but Clapton prevailing in a 3-2 scoreline.

In the BBC Essex Premier Cup, it was a good afternoon for league clubs with Waltham Forest Borough producing a strong performance on the road at Runwell Sports, scoring three without reply to go through to round four.

Joining them at that stage will be Chadwell Heath Spartans who made their own journey down the A127 to face a Catholic United Reserves side in Southend, netting five goals in  a 5-0 as Spartans progressed to the last sixteen.

In the day’s all league tie, it ended level at 3-3 in the game between Ocean Pacific and Kit Out London after extra-time before Ocean held their nerve in the shootout, winning that 4-3 to take the victory.

The only reverse of the day came from Wadham Lodge where Kulture saw their run in the competition reach a conclusion following a 5-1 defeat at home to Hutton Reserves, the visitors taking the honours on the day.

In the Essex Junior Cup, it was extra-time heartache for Old Parkonians A who were deposited out of the competition against Rawreth Lane, a winner for the visitors in the extra thirty minutes giving them a 3-2 win.

There was action in the AFA Senior Novets Cup also where Condor made the trip across to Alexandra Park in the second round but left empty handed after a 3-1 defeat to exit the competition.

In the Anagrams Records Trophy, CSM London saw their participation reach an end after a close game with Herts Senior County League side Hertford Heath, the visitors scoring the game’s only goal in a 1-0 scoreline.

Dagenham United had a trip to Hertfordshire based opposition too as they took on St Margaretsbury on the road in their second round tie but were eliminated following a 3-0 defeat.
