Jolof Sports Club have closed the gap at the top of the Premier Division after beating leaders May & Baker EC A 1-0 at home. A second defeat in as many weeks for Baker sees Jolof to within two points of them. Chingford Athletic could also move top if they win their games in hand following a 3-2 win against Cranes United. Goals from David Livie, Lee Bowers and Michael Mignot were just enough to see off their opposition's challenge and close to within five points of the leaders. Chingford Town moved up to fourth place with a 3-1 win against local rivals Chingford Harriers for whom Dan Pereira was on target with the consolation goal. The remaining fixtures both saw score draws as Melbourne Sports were held by a resurgent Rainham Working Mens Club side with Marvin Miller's double and a single from Marcus Hill on target for the Mels. Bottom side Eastside Rangers took a point in a 2-2 draw against fifth placed side Newham Res.

In Division One, Blue Marlin maintained their surge towards Premier Division football next season, sweeping away the challenge of Glendale in a 6-0 win. Goals from Keiron James (2), Chibueze Anyaegbu, Matthew Hamilton, James Toppin and Rorie McKenzie were enough to secure maximum points and maintain their unbeaten record thus far. Three Colts continue their run of good form with a 2-0 win away at Forest Green courtesy of goals from Nicky Blackwell and Jason Fox in a result which lifts them above their hosts and into fifth position. It was fourth versus third in the final game where London Bari Res travelled not very far to near neighbours Vittoriosa Falcons and came away with a 3-2 win despite strikes from Matthew Senghore and Daniel Palmer for the Falcons.

Division Two was filled with goals this weekend with the net bulging no less than 32 times on Saturday afternoon. The biggest scoreline of the day saw third-placed Cowley Community stay within a point of top spot in a 10-2 win against Canio. Izynna Ogedi-Uzokwe, a man who seemingly loves to grab the headlines, bagged a double hat-trick along with a hat-trick of his own from Mark Farinha and Conor Harrington rounding off the scoring. Leaders Grove United hosted tenth-placed Custom House and secured a 6-0 win which keeps them clear on goal difference. Sam Naylor and Roy Jones both bagged braces with Neil Matthew and Jamie Pooley completing the scoring. Grove are ahead of second placed Leyton Green who scored six goals of their own in a 6-2 win. Wyndell Foster's hat-trick led the way with a Bradley O'Donovan brace and a single from Charlie Saywood completing the scoring. St Francis Res moved off the bottom in a 3-1 win against Singh Sabha Barking which leaves Northend Res bottom, themselves bagging a point in a 1-1 draw against Newham Royals. A Taha Deghayes' goal for Northend was cancelled out by a Richard Smith strike for the Royals.

In the Fenton Cup, Division Two side West Essex Res gave a great account of themselves taking on the might of Premier Division St Francis but eventually losing out by the odd goal in nine, 5-4.

This weekend, clubs were also asked to get together for a mixed team photo before the match in remembrance of the World War I Christmas Truce. Photos posted on Twitter or Instagram with the hash-tag #FootballRemembers are automatically imported into the FA's remembrance website: www.footballremembrance.com. For clubs who didn't take their photo on Saturday, there will be a final chance at next Saturday's fixtures.
