County cup draws released for Essex affiliated clubs

With another season on the horizon, the draws for this season's Essex FA county cup competitions have been released. We now take a particular look at the Essex Premier Cup, Junior Cup and Junior Trophy which all contain sides from the Essex Alliance League.

ESSEX PREMIER CUP

In this year's Essex Premier Cup, Chigwell have stepped up to the plate to take part in the Premier Cup competition and will face a short trip to east London where they face Olympian League side, Canning Town, in their maiden game in the competition.

ESSEX JUNIOR CUP

In the Essex Junior Cup,  East Ham Inter face familiar opposition with a trip to reigning league champions, the promoted Jolof Sports who are now in the Middlesex County League. There's an all-EAL clash in the opening round where Rapid Chingford play host to West Essex Reserves at the backend of September and fellow promotees, Lymore Gardens, will take on Collier Row on the same day.

Singh Sabha Barking have a bye in the first round and will take on Middlesex League side, Eastfield, in the second round. London Cranes make a return to county cup competition and they face a tough trip to face top flight Mid Essex League side, Harold Hill, in their clash on 12th October. Chingford Athletic A also receive a bye and will take on either Writtle or Herongate Athletic in the second round.

ESSEX JUNIOR TROPHY

In the Essex Junior Trophy, in the opening round, London Park City will face one of their Division One rivals this year with Forest Green making the trip to Seven Kings at the end of September, the winners taking on Melbourne Sports in the second round. In the other first round tie, Upshire Forest will be up against Haver Town Reserves in their clash.

As always, there are a number of EAL sides taking on Mid Essex League opposition and Three Colts begin the second round action with a trip to Hutton A in October while Frenford A tackle a trip to Upminster to face Emerson United Reserves. New side, Barkingside A, will tackle the visit of Harold Hill Reserves. Former Ilford & District League side, Durning, will be up against Alliance opposition with Debden Park making the trip up the A12 with Avondale Rangers making a similar journey to face Brentwood Athletic Reserves. Brentwood United Reserves also take on external opponents with Hertford League based Nazeing travelling to Romford. Both Glendale and CSM London receive a bye to round two and will renew old acquantancies with the first of a number of all-EAL ties in the second round in October.  Also in the second round, Ilford Development's opening clash sees the visit of Flyers while the latter's Reserve side will take on Jolof Sports Under 21s. Another all-league clash will see Custom House United take on Sungate Reserves while Dagenham United Reserves host familiar opposition with Loughton Lions travelling to them. Rainham Working Mens Club will take on Cowley Community at home.
