WEEK 7 REVIEW: Round-up of all the EAL league action from the weekend

SENIOR DIVISION

Greengate District kicked off the weekend’s action on Friday night, taking home all three points from Parsloes Park in a 3-1 scoreline against Fairlop Rovers with Ioan Berende, Christ Sery and Ruben Silva efforts making the difference.

The biggest winners on Saturday afternoon were Chadwell Heath Spartans, producing a strong 6-1 home win over FC Petrocub London helped by two Enoch Salami goals and one each from Drey Johnson, Billy Mucheri, Thomas Callagher and Ryan O’Connell.

The leaders, Kulture, remain top of the standings but did experience their first points dropped this season, held to a 1-1 away draw at Bealonians with Landry Gogoa grabbing the visitors’ goal.

Second placed Ryan also saw their lead cut on the chasing sides as they were beaten by Waltham Forest Borough, the latter moving to within a point following a 2-0 win, aided by Luke Dimond and Louie Cooper goals.

Another of the sides riding high are CSM London who sit on thirteen points following a 3-1 away win at Sporting Bengal United Reserves, overcoming Ezekiel Ertl’s goal with three of their own.

Over in north London, it was victory on the road for Barkingside where Kai Haysman and Kadmiel Animpong goals produced just enough to take a 2-1 win over Newham Wanderers, Muhammed Camara scoring Wanderers’ consolation.

It was a big afternoon in matters affecting the other end of the table where Vallance secured themselves a vital win to move off the bottom of the table, defeating Ongar Town at Wodson Park in a 2-1 scoreline, Jacey Emmanuel scoring for Town.

The remaining game from the top flight saw Old Barkabbeyans and Saint City ended level at 2-2 in their clash with Michael Ryder’s brace equalled by an Ousseynou Faye double for the City.

PREMIER DIVISION EAST

Bakers693 earned three points in an entertaining 6-3 success against Old Parkonians on Friday evening. Ben Allen, Jordan Cook and Billy Mason scored for Parks but Joe Gray and Alex Paraskeva braces for Bakers, along with Robbie Farrell and Eunomio Ndjeng goals made the difference.

Leaders, Romford Town Flyers, made it five wins from five on Saturday in a 4-2 home victory against Athletico Redbridge with Jahvann Menzie (2), Paul Constable and Christos Mead on the scoresheet.

AFC Newbury sit three points off the leaders, keeping in touch after a narrow 3-2 home win against Frenford Reserves. Mirko Saba’s double and a Jordan Mullings effort were just enough to overcome Aaqil Ullah and Teraun Davis goals.

There were three points for Condor for the first time this season, taking home three points from Barkingside against Old Esthameians as Baiel Abdullaev’s double helped his side win 2-1, Matthew Pemberton striking for E’s in reply.

A five goal thriller at Robert Clack saw Kit Out London leave with the points as Eren Muti scored two and Myles Tawiah one in a 3-2 success against Dagenham United, for whom Renato Molaudzi and Charlie Jacks were on target.

The bottom two sides, Something From Nothing and APSA, went head to head in an attempt to an pick up first wins on Saturday but couldn’t be separated after a 2-2 draw in Dagenham, each taking home a point apiece.

PREMIER DIVISION WEST

In Premier Division West, three sides remain unbeaten with Walthamstow Reserves sitting top by a point having held second placed Sporting Hackney to a scoreless draw with neither team able to break the deadlock in a 0-0 draw.

That scoreline meant that third placed Waltham Athletic could narrow the gap at the top and they duly obliged in a 4-2 home win over ACE 05 where Omar Rouane scored two, Wael El Harrak and Mahamedgani Abdi with the others. Raphael Adeniji and Waled Harrak scored in reply for ACE.

The goals continued in the Peter May derby where hosts Onyx were beaten by Ocean Pacific, the visitors winning the game 6-3 helped by two Carlos Solis goals and others from Sergio Baca, Darwin Orozco and Florin Ivancia.

In the early kick-off, two teams who couldn’t be separated were North East Lions and Priory Park Rangers who finished level at 2-2 to share the points with Oliver Iketye and Dylan Mohammad scoring for Lions.

The goals were flying in a ten-goal thriller in east London as Jolof Sports were up against a West Essex Reserves side at West Ham Memorial Park. It was West who edged it on the day, finishing 6-4 winners.

FC Baresi Reserves are up into fifth place in the standings, coming out on the right side of a 3-2 result against Hackney Wanderers. Enoch Adjei and Delton Levi goals from Wanderers were overcome by Mahmut Emirali, Ivan Ivanov and Harlem Anderson for the hosts.

DIVISION ONE EAST

The theme of goals continued into Division One East where it was a Bealonians Reserves side producing the biggest result of the day following a 10-0 away win over Romford Town Flyers Reserves.

Leaders, Chadwell Heath Spartans Reserves, kept their unbeaten start to the season going with a victory at Parsloes Park where Kevin Richards’ brace and Daniel Costa’s effort helped them beat FC Alpha 3-0.

Third placed Barking Development sit just outside of the promotion places after edging a 5-4 scoreline against Eastside Foundation. Alpha Conde scored two, Benjamin Fadrowski, Karolis Bartkus and Johnny Haynes scored the Barking goals with Ryan Wele (2), Bailey Childs and Grant Eagle responding for ‘Side.

Lymore Gardens Reserves made it two wins from three, overcoming Fiaz Akhtar and Lucas Coltelli goals for Frenford Development with a Fabian Brown hat-trick and one from Davantay South, 4-2 the scoreline in the end.

It was a first win of the season for Ekota who were 2-1 winners on the road against previously unbeaten leaders, Old Barkabbeyans Reserves. Muhammad Hannan and Aydin Ali goals were the difference in the end, Koutarou Tanaka scoring for Barks.

DIVISION ONE WEST

Over in the West division, it was back to winning ways for Sich London, moving top with a big 7-1 home win against SP United. Vasyl Kovtash’s brace was supported by singles from Oleksandr Bakun, Vladyslav Kyrychenko, Mykola Salabai, Vladimir Svidruk and Vasyl Paskar with Yacine Kaizra scoring for United.

Saint City Reserves were also in goalscoring form in a 5-1 win on the road, defeating St Portland Sau 5-1 in Romford. Uchenna Ezeoke scored twice, Emmanual Hammond, Blessing Ogazi and Khalil Felix the others while Manuel Sanuo scored the hosts’ consolation.

Over in East Ham, Roy Kawuma was the difference between the two sides in the game between London Cranes and Elite Energy as his double off the bench gave Cranes a 2-0 win over the previously unbeaten leaders.

Fourth placed UK Moldova made it two wins and two losses from their opening four games of the new season, producing a 4-2 win over third placed Concord United at Parsloes Park to move level with them.

There were a couple of draws in the remaining fixtures, beginning in Newbury Park where the bottom two sides met, Leyton City and Get Rich Together drawing 1-1 helped by a Elhadj Tienta goal for City.

That was the same scoreline in the division’s other fixture also where the Under 23s derby fixture saw CSM London finish level with IBF London in a 1-1 draw at The Foundry to share the points.

DIVISION TWO

Four sides sit on nine points at the top of the table with Old Parkonians Reserves leading the way on goal difference following their 2-1 win against Lymore Gardens Under 23s. Lucas Tavares and Aytan Cohen scored for Parks with Darius Appiah responding.

Dagenham United Reserves are in second place following a 2-1 win of their own, returning home with all three points against Thurrock Thameside with Samuel Olubiyi scoring both and Fayaz Omar scoring for Thurrock.

Chingford Harriers are another side in the nine-point club as they overcame Haringey United in an eight-goal thriller, Andrew Bowring scoring a hat-trick and Aaron Mesuria one in a 5-3 victory.

There was a nine-goal thriller in Harlow where Newhall Rangers scored four through Hadley Waterman (2), Albie Tyler and Owen Palmer but those efforts were not enough as Buckhurst Way scored five to walk away 5-4 winners.

At Parsloes Park, Jays rescued a point after coming from 2-0 down against Glendale to level it up at 2-2. Mohammed Gueye and Adrian Geronimo scored for Glendale before Cain Dash halved the deficit and Ayden Karaoke headed in to level it for Jays.

DIVISION THREE

Chigwell were the biggest winners in Division Three, scoring six without reply on the road in a 6-0 win at Freetown in a result which saw them move up into fifth place in the standings.

Leaders, JK Silvertown, made it four wins from four so far this season as they recorded a 2-0 home win over Thameside Athletic in east London to keep their perfect start going.

London Academics sit three points off the pace, recording themselves a 5-1 win at Romford Town Flyers B as Ollie Carter’s goal was overcome by Jordan Dixon-Walker’s double along with Terril Blake-Alleyne, Daniel Burrell and Olajide Oshunfuyi goals.

In the east London derby, it was victory on the road for IMOPE who made it two wins for the campaign following a 2-1 win at Millwall Albion secured with Jason Beto and Cody O’Brien goals while Branden Hutchinson-Peterson responded with Albion’s goal.

There were first points of the season for both East London Ballers Under 19s and Cobra as those sides finished level at 1-1 in East Ham to share the spoils, Jabbar Jabbie scoring the Cobra goal.

That same scoreline was reflected in the game from Hainault where Redbridge Under 23s held Barking Blues to a 1-1 a score draw also with Ralph Tynan-Cross’ goal for the hosts cancelled out by Jordan Edwin’s effort for Blues.
