WEEK 6 REVIEW: Round-up of all the EAL league action from the weekend

SENIOR DIVISION

There was a big win on Friday evening for Greengate District who secured a 7-2 win over fellow strugglers, Vallance, with Jamal Sharpe, Christ Sery, Ashley Tshitenga, Ruben Silva, Francis Mampolo, Prince Achempong and Lloyd Asamoah scoring the goals. Wyclef Kayonjo and Josh Ndjeka efforts scored for the hosts in reply.

There was just the one goal in the game from Cricklefields where it was hosts Barkingside who left the happier of the two sides with Kai Haysman scoring the game’s only goal against Chadwell Heath Spartans.

Up at Wodson Park, two other sides looking to increase their points tallies met with Ongar Town securing a 3-1 win against Sporting Bengal United Reserves. Milan Trotman, Ferhat Canlier and Lee Allen goals were enough, overcoming Ezekiel Ertl’s goal for the visitors.

There were wins for both of the top two sides on Saturday, beginning in East Ham where Ryan left with all three points to sit top, beating Saint City in a 2-0 scoreline courtesy of goals from Levi Burgin and Jack Back.

Kulture sit just a single goal behind the leaders with maximum points, their Saturday afternoon seeing them win a fifth on the spin with a 2-1 victory against FC Petrocub London - Alex Awobimpe and Henley Wheeler with the goals.

It was a seven-goal thriller in the game from Dagenham where Old Barkabbeyans took home the points in a 4-3 win against Fairlop Rovers with Leonard Ngemoah, Thomas Green, Michael Ryder and Louis Orton goals just enough.

Conversely, the division’s final game from the weekend saw neither team able to break the deadlock across the ninety minutes as Bealonians and Newham Wanderers ended 0-0, defences very much on top there.

PREMIER DIVISION EAST

Romford Town Flyers are top of the table after making it four wins from four on Saturday afternoon following a 4-3 home victory over Something From Nothing. Christos Mead continued his goal scoring form with two, Emmanuel Sekyere and Sean Aromolaran adding the others.

The only other side with a perfect record are AS Rapid Londra, making it three wins from three so far in their new season following a 2-0 away win against Old Parkonians helped by goals from Cristian Cazacu and Andrei Boga.

The biggest winners from the division were Bakers693 who netted five without reply in a 5-0 away win against Old Esthameians. Eunomio Ndjeng’s hat-trick off the bench put the gloss on the win with Joe Gray and Teddy Bowden also scoring.

Redbridge Reserves cut the gap on the leaders to just three points following their third win of the season, overcoming Athletico Redbridge in a 6-2 scoreline, despite host goals from Oriel Mbaka and Gabriel Ogunwomoju.

It was a high-scoring win in Barkingside where Frenford Reserves left with the points in a 5-2 victory over APSA with both Arman Uzzaman and Omar Kaddoura netting braces to help their Frenford side to the win.

Fifth placed Dagenham United produced a strong performance on the road to send second placed AFC Newbury to a second defeat with Renato Molaudzi and Adjilson Santo goals the difference in a 2-0 Dagenham win.

On an adjacent pitch at Parsloes, it was derby day for hosts Kit Out London and co-tenants, Condor. But it was a case of defences reigning supreme in this one with the game ending in a 0-0 draw.

PREMIER DIVISION WEST

Walthamstow Reserves lead the way by a point at the top of Premier Division West, moving back to winning ways with a 2-0 local derby victory over Hackney Wanderers at Peter May.

Second placed, Sporting Hackney, are the only remaining side with a perfect record, making it three wins from three as two Iqbal Sumaila goals and one each from Karim Bukleb and Malachy Spratt gave them a 4-2 win over North East Lions. Souare Ayouba and Leonard Enomahenunumwen netted in consolation.

There was a big win from Unitey who travelled to Peter May and took home all three points in a 5-1 success against Ocean Pacific with Idris Mansaray scoring two, adding to Muamar Osman, Camron Coley and Makeec Thiik goals while Alex Bonilla scored for Ocean in reply.

That same scoreline was reflected in another game from the division as West Essex Reserves completed a comprehensive 5-1 home victory over FC Baresi Reserves for whom Gabriel Mazur struck with a goal in reply.

Over at Roding Valley, promoted Royal Forest earned their first win of the season with a 4-2 home success against Onyx, lifting the hosts up above their opponents and into eleventh place in the standings.

Two further sides couldn’t be separated as Priory Park Rangers ended 2-2 at home against ACE 05, the latter’s third draw in four. Kieron Brown-Matthews scored twice with Raphael Adeniji and Nahad Shariff equalling those efforts.

DIVISION ONE EAST

There was an entertaining game between Barking Development and Chadwell Heath Spartans Reserves which finally ended 4-4. Fraser Wolton scored two, Benjamin Fadrowski and Alpha Conde netted for Barking with Drey Johnson, Stephano Holness, Kevin Richards and Daniel Costa responding for Spartans.

The other contests saw some one sides games to nil, starting with Frenford Development’s strong 6-0 success against Stratford East helped by Lucas Coltelli’s hat-trick and strikes from Fiaz Akhtar, William Darkwah and Ivan Boakye.

It’s three wins from three for Old Barkabbeyans Reserves as they were 5-0 winners in Hainault over London East with Ademide Adebajo scoring twice and aided by further  Shola Shonibare, Mohamed Hassan and Bilal Naeem goals.

Another game which saw a 5-0 scoreline was the match between Loughton Town and Romford Town Flyers Reserves where a couple of goals each from Tom Osmond and Lawrie Wiggins, plus Will Osmond’s strike gave Loughton the win.

The final game from the division saw Bealonians Reserves leave with all three points in a 4-0 success against FC Alpha. Jazz Heath-Sawyers, Max Robson, Halameen Agbaje and Ashley Webster were the Beals on the scoresheet.

DIVISION ONE WEST

Elite Energy sit top of the table by a point following their 3-2 win on Saturday against previous leaders, Sich London, where Serhii Hura and Vladyslav Kyrychenko efforts were overcome by Elite goals from Haleem Bello, Derrick Asare and Hiram Kumadey.

Moving onto six points were Concord United, picking up a second win in three this season after Roddy Lemba scored twice for them in a 2-1 success against CSM London Under 23s.

Also winning by the odd goal were UK Moldova who netted themselves a 2-1 victory against St Portland Sau, overcoming Daaniyal Ali’s effort for the visitors with strikes from Dumitru Nanii and Ilias Elmouden goals.

Draws were the theme across the remaining games, beginning with a 3-3 outcome in the game between IBF London Under 23s and Leyton City. Demari Thomas, Unisa Bangura and Fuad Ibrahim scored for IBF with Edgar Bidang, Serge Makofo and Elhadj Tienta striking for City to earn a point.

Another exciting 3-3 draw was witnessed in the game between SP United and London Cranes as Mustaf Shukri and Vincent Clifford scored for United, their efforts equalled by Cranes goals from Valentine Ngaham, Collina Masembe and Mathius Sendawula.

There weren’t quite so many goals in the remaining game where Saint City Reserves and East London Phoenix couldn’t be separated in a 0-0 draw in East Ham, neither side able to break the deadlock.

DIVISION TWO

In Division Two, Old Parkonians Reserves produced the biggest win of the day as they recorded a 5-0 success over Buckhurst Way helped by Emeka Ezeleu’s hat-trick, plus strikes from Emre Ozuaciksoz and Zakir Gulzar.

There was a big win also for Glendale who picked up a first of the new season following a 4-1 victory over Haringey United with goals from Emmanuel Ejembi, Ahmed Abdulai, Yaw Ghansah and Dipendra Bista, Courtney Sandford scoring for United in reply.

Kulture Under 21s are following their first team successes and sit top with a perfect three wins from three, netting a 2-1 victory over Chingford Harriers courtesy of goals from Frankie Kealy and Altan Aydin.

The Dagenham derby saw a three goal success for Jays who made it two wins in three with a 3-0 victory over Dagenham United Reserves to sit second with Anthony Bonsu scoring two and Cain Dash one in the win.

Lymore Gardens Under 23s picked up a first win of the season as their trip to Ockendon saw them return home with three points after a 3-1 win at Thurrock Thameside. Yurii Levytskyi scored two and Rakin Menezes one.

DIVISION THREE

Leaders, JK Silvertown, picked up a third win of the season but had to be pushed hard by Chigwell in their game from Hainault, JK eventually prevailing in a 2-0 win to stay top of the standings.

It’s two wins from two for Barking Blues who racked up a second win of the season following a 6-0 away win over Romford Town Flyers B, helped by two Harrison Happe-Heatley strikes and one each from Cameron Grossett, Rasheed Fasanya, Sulaimon Ajose and Jordan Edwin.

Millwall Albion secured their first win of the season, overcoming a previously unbeaten London Academics side by the odd goal as Shaun Borg-Clancy’s strike settled in the game 1-0 in favour of the hosts.

Also securing a first win were IMOPE who battled back into winning form to take three points at Cobra. Joe Smith scored for the hosts with Ali Abdulrahman and Jima Nuri goals settling it in the visitors’ favour.

The final game of the day saw a five-goal thriller from Hainault where Redbridge Under 23s edged their contest with Thameside Athletic by the odd goal, the hosts ending 3-2 winners in the end.
