WEEK 5 REVIEW: Round-up of all the EAL league action from the weekend

SENIOR DIVISION

There was a theme of goals on Friday evening as both games ended locked in a draw, beginning with a 2-2 draw between Ongar Town and Fairlop Rovers. Ferhat Canlier scored two for Town with Jayden Francis and Enos Owusu responding for Rovers.

It was a 3-3 draw in the evening’s other contest from Parsloes Park where Waltham Forest Borough shared the points with Chadwell Heath Spartans. Randy Da Silva’s brace and Enoch Salami’s effort was equalled by George Whalley, Luke Dimond and Ritchie Malunda goals.

Over in Barkingside, there were eight goals on Saturday as FC Petrocub London went home with three points following a 5-3 win at Bealonians, despite a couple of John Whitton goals and one from Rhys Clements.

There was local derby action at The Foundry where CSM London were up against Saint City, the odd goal in three enough for the latter to take the points in a 2-1 scoreline, helped by Sandro Pereira and Alberto Jal goals. Daniel Garfinkle grabbed the CSM goal in reply.

It’s been a strong start to the season for Ryan and they added another three points to their record after scoring the games only goals in a 2-0 away success over Greengate District at Parsloes Park.

Another side with a strong start to the campaign to show are Kulture who completed another three point haul with their 3-1 away success over Old Barkabbeyan. Meeshaq Malone’s goal for Barks was overcome by Tejan Heywood and Ezel Ornek goals.

Khalid Maxamed’s hat-trick proved the defining contribution from the Newham Wanderers and Sporting Bengal United Reserves clash, that being enough to give Newham a 3-2 win despite Zaydan Uddin and Sami Jassan efforts.

PREMIER DIVISION EAST

The biggest winners of the day in the Premier East were Frenford Reserves who struck four goals in a 4-1 win away at Redbridge Reserves, the goals arriving through Omar Kaddoura, Damilare Oludoyi, Olly Baloch and Anand Patel.

It was a first win of the season for promoted Old Parkonians who put an end to AFC Newbury’s perfect start, Parks winning the game 2-1 through Harry Baptist and Charlie Fiander goals.

Also scoring two to win their game were AS Rapid Londra who made it two wins from two with a 2-0 success over Kit Out London, aided by goals from Cristian Cazacu and Robert Popescu.

There was just the one goal scoring moment in the clash from Barkingside where Old Esthameians were beaten 1-0 by visitors, Athletico Redbridge, with Richmond Cole coming off the bench to score the winner.

Two games from Dagenham ended in a couple of draws, beginning with a high-scoring contest from Parsloes Park where Condor and Something From Nothing shared six goals in a 3-3 draw.

That outcome was reflected in another draw in the early game from Robert Clack where Dagenham United and Bakers693 ended level at 1-1 with Denzel Akanbi striking with the hosts’ effort.

PREMIER DIVISION WEST

Over in the West division, there was a real glut of goals, beginning in West Ham as Jolof Sports beat Hackney Wanderers in a 6-2 result, Balla Ngom and Serigne Samb scoring twice each, Papa Ndiaye and Ahmad Mass with the others.

It was a strong away trip for Priory Park Rangers also who struck five on the road at Royal Forest to win 5-2. Eoin Coughlan and Stephane Arthur scored for the hosts but Darren Kemoi’s hat-trick, plus goals from Kieron Brown-Matthews and Alfie Wallis turned the tide.

Also winning on the road were Sporting Hackney who made the short trip across to Peter May to take on Ocean Pacific, the Parrots leaving with all three points as they recorded a 4-1 victory.

All four remaining games ended in draws, including a six goal thriller from Peter May where North East Lions drew 3-3 at local rivals, West Essex Reserves. Shaquille Amara, Sulaiman Bangura and Souare Ayouba netted the Lions goals to earn a point.

Also ending in that same 3-3 scoreline was the contest between Unitey and Waltham Athletic Sporting Club. Muamar Osman scored two and Abdifatah Mohamed one for Unitey while Abdisamad Mohamed, Omar Rouane and Jayden Hocking-Rising goals equalled those efforts.

The early kick-off from Peter May saw the points shared 2-2 between Onyx and FC Baresi Reserves with Andy Adomakoh and Shayden Williams goals for the hosts counteracted by Baresi efforts from Zuhayr Amjad and Gabriel Mazur.

Just across the North Circular, early pace setters, Walthamstow Reserves, were held to a 2-2 draw also as ACE 05 earned themselves another point with Raphael Adeniji and Ajani Wilson goals accounting for their efforts.

DIVISION ONE EAST

Chadwell Heath Spartans Reserves have made a sparkling start to the new season and scored four unanswered goals in a 4-0 away win against Lymore Gardens Reserves, with Jamie Pooley, Usher Kasirye, Owen Rami and Daniel Costa all netting.

Also scoring four were Old Barkabbeyans Reserves as they beat Romford Town Flyers Reserves in a 4-2 result with Shola Shonibare’s brace and goals from Mohamed Hassan and Olaoluwani Toyobo overcoming two Max Fairchild strikes.

It was five goals for FC Alpha who were on the road and taking on Ekota at Mayfield Leisure Centre where Serghei Scupoi’s hat-trick and a Liviu Nistreanu double handed their side a 5-1 win. Aidas Golambeckis scored for Ekota in consolation.

Barking Development earned all three points as they defeated London East in a 3-0 winning scoreline at Mayesbrook Park with Cian Murphy, Theodore Mintah and Benjamin Fadrowski goals proving the difference.

Also earning three points at home were Eastside Foundation who had Akwasi Junior and Marco Asaro to thank for them scoring the goals that produced a 2-0 winning result against an improved Stratford East.

The division’s action was completed in the game from Loughton Town where it was the visitors, Frenford Development, who ultimately left the happier of the teams as Kearon Caynes and Kosisochukwu Fontilio goals made it a 2-0 result.

DIVISION ONE WEST

It was a strong start to the campaign for CSM London Under 23s who scored eleven goals in their game at home to Leyton City, the hosts running rampant to win that one 11-1 in Newbury Park.

Sich London have made a very good start to the campaign also and they added another three points following a 5-2 win against UK Moldova. Serhii Hura and Vladyslav Kyrychenko both scored two, Vasyl Kovtash adding the other.

Concord United earned themselves a win in their game from West Ham as Daniel Longalonga, Wesley Lekes and Abdallah Zak goals completed a 3-1 win over debutants, IBF London Under 23s, for whom Fuad Ibrahim grabbed a consolation goal.

It was a winning start for East London Phoenix who got themselves ahead in their game against Get Rich Together and pushed on to take home the points, 4-1 winners at Noak Hill in the end.

There was a cracker of a contest in Dagenham where Elite Energy were taking on Saint City Reserves, the two sides sharing eight goals in a 4-4 draw, with Imran Bangura one of the players on target.

And two other sides also had to settle for a point each as debutants, St Portland Sau, ended in a 2-2 draw against SP United on Saturday with Aidas Jasikevicius and Krystian Bratz both netting for United in the game.

DIVISION TWO

There was a big win for Jays in their game from Newbury Park as they completed an 11-2 win over Haringey United. Cain Dash scored six with Aman Lynch-Stewart adding a hat-trick while Emmanuel Sopuruchukwu and Mohamad Adam added the others. Liam Palmer and Jermaine Da Costa scored for Haringey in reply.

Old Parkonians Reserves produced a strong performance on the road to net themselves a 5-0 win at Thurrock Thameside as Emeka Ezeleu scored a hat-trick, added to Alex Hardcastle and Vilius Dambrauskas’ efforts.

Also scoring five in a winning performance were Dagenham United Reserves where Samuel Olubiyi’s hat-trick and Charlie Landers’ double proved too much for Lymore Gardens Under 23s in a 5-2 scoreline. Rakin Menezes and Kai Aslan scored for Lymore in reply.

It was a seven goal thriller at Peter May where Chingford Harriers took a 4-3 win against Newhall Rangers aided by two Connor Bailey goals and one from Andrew Bowring. Albie Tyler and Jamal Page scored the Rangers goals in response.

The early game from Wadham Lodge saw Kulture Under 21s make a strong start in their game at home to Glendale with Frankie Kealy and Callum Kealy-Johnson first half goals just enough to hold off a second half Dales fightback in an eventual 2-1 result.

DIVISION THREE

It was a strong performance from JK Silvertown once again as they scored ten in their second league outing, defeating East London Ballers Under 19s in a 10-0 scoreline in West Ham.

Barking Blues enjoyed a fruitful trip to Rainham as they recorded a 5-0 away success against Thameside Athletic helped by a couple of Rasheed Fasanya and Kii Jean-Baptiste goals, Jonathan Wallace adding the other.

Also picking up three points on the road were debutants, Chigwell, who notched the odd goal in seven to record a 4-3 win at Redbridge Under 23s in an entertaining fixture clash.

There were three points for London Academics in another away victory in the division, the visitors taking home the points following a 5-0 win against Cobra. Jordan Dixon-Walker scored a hat-trick with Derek Boakye and Terril Blake-Alleyne notching too.

The remaining game ended locked in a 3-3 draw as Imope secured a first point from their visit to Freetown. Josiah Okito scored twice for the hosts with Uthman Olatunbosun, Cody O’Brien and Treasure Adeniyi equalling those efforts.

Also picking up a point each were Romford Town Flyers B and Millwall Albion who had to settle for a share of the spoils in a 2-2 draw. Cody Smith and Alex Tonu scored for Flyers with Letrel Gardner and Ruben Estephane notching for Albion.
