COUNTY CUP FINAL
Old Barkabbeyans Reserves became champions of the county on Friday evening after a 4-1 victory in the Essex Junior Trophy against Brentwood Athletic. Tunji Ebun-Cole, Keenan Lewis, Jada Andrews and Saifaldin Shangama all found the back of the net in a terrific performance after weathering the early storm. Many congratulations to Nham and the team on a terrific achievement.
SENIOR DIVISION
The final rounds of Senior games saw Frenford Development net a local derby win with a 1-0 away victory against Chadwell Heath Spartans at The Drive. Callum Alexander netted the game’s only goal for Frenford.
Fairlop Rovers’ strong end to the season saw them record a final day win with a narrow 2-1 success away against Sporting Hackney at Wadham Lodge. Justin Ezeagu struck for the Parrots with Logan Simmonds and George Birch scoring for Rovers.
Sporting Hackney’s final game of the year saw them record a final day 4-1 success on Friday evening against Bakers693 at Parsloes Park. That was Sporting’s sixth win of the season as they confirmed a fourteenth placed finish.
Also on Friday evening, Philip United ended a superb campaign with a 4-1 home success against Waltham Forest Borough. Tamas Retyi’s brace plus goals from Joshua Wisdom and Okikiola Olaniyan set them up with Sharn Quinn scoring in consolation.
PREMIER DIVISION EAST
On Saturday afternoon, Inter Newbury’s final game of the season saw them take away a point from a home clash with Waltham Abbey A. The game ended in a 1-1 draw to share the spoils.
DIVISION TWO
The Division Two promotion race saw Chadwell Heath Spartans Reserves and Old Parkonians A share the points in a 3-3 draw. Jack Chawner, Abraham Ladoja and Samir Aboulainaf scored for Spartans with Jourdane DeCourcy-Nolan, Burt Cardy and Rowan Newland netting for Parks.
