DIVISION TWO

As the football action starts to dwindle away towards the summer break, there was still one match of huge importance taking place at the weekend as the top two sides in Division Two met in Waltham Abbey with Chingford Athletic Reserves facing ACD United. Both sides have been going toe-to-toe all season and it all came down to this encounter to decide the destination of the title. In front of a big crowd, there was just a single goal to separate these well matched sides and that went to Chingford’s Samuel Matthews who headed in from six yards out after twenty minutes. Chingford held on to their lead as that goal proved enough to hand Chingford a 1-0 victory and gain the points they needed to take unassailable lead at the top and be crowned this season’s Division Two League Champions. Congratulations to all involved on their terrific achievement after such a long and arduous season.

DIVISION THREE

The only other match on this royal wedding weekend, saw top of the table FC Baresi take on winless Custom House Community with the former needing to avoid defeat to end their season with a rare unbeaten league record. Despite a Connor Kingston goal for Custom House, Delano Lloyd was back in-form in front of goal as he netted five goals, adding to a brace from Adnan Miah to secure a 7-1 victory for FC Baresi which saw them reach the century mark of goals too. Well done to the FC Baresi players and management for completing their season unbeaten which is a very difficult feat.
