PREMIER DIVISION

With summer approaching and a diminishing fixture list, there were still matters to be settled on the 33rd week of the league season as current and former league champions, Jolof Sports and Chingford Athletic, met in Buckhurst Hill with the runners-up spot on the line for the latter. Chingford Athletic led early doors but were pegged back by Jolof goals to trail 2-1 at the break. Athletic levelled within moments of the restart but a late Jolof winner ended Chingford hopes of finishing second as Jesus Paniagua, Jeffrey Cobblah and Muhammed Ndow scored the champions' goals.

The runners-up honours therefore go to Old Esthameians who complete a remarkable turnaround from being at the foot of the table very early in the season to being runners-up by the end and in the cup final. Well done to the E’s!

DIVISION ONE

There was just the one match in Division One where recently promoted West Essex Reserves were visited by Kitgum Boys with both sides looking to close their seasons on a high note. Indeed it was Kitgum who looked to be doing just that as they led 4-1, but another astonishing comeback from West Essex dragged them level to 4-4 as the sides shared the spoils.

DIVISION THREE

The remaining Division Three fixture saw Flyers taking on Kitroom with the winner taking the third place in the division with both having had terrific seasons. And it was Flyers who will finish above their opponents as they cruised to a 5-0 win courtesy of a Patrick Okoji double and strikes from Jason Collins, Robert Ashdown and Jack Swaby.
