The third weekend of league action  began on Friday evening at Coles Park with Haringey Borough Under 23s looking to bounce back from their defeat last weekend, taking on a Frenford Reserves side also looking to build on a mixed start. Isima Iguisi struck for the visitors but Borough goals from Aala Ezzedine and Francis Mampolo were enough to give the hosts a 2-1 success on the night.

On Saturday, another side looking for a bounce back were FC Baresi who, after defeat last time out, were up against Walthamstow Reserves in a local derby game at Wadham Lodge. In a game in which the two sides could only muster a single goal scoring moment, it was Baresi’s experienced Yannick Kamanan who made the difference, his goal leading the visitors into second spot with a 1-0 win.

Also sitting on nine points from their opening four games this term are Woodford East as they were taking on a previously unbeaten Rapid Chingford side going into their clash on Saturday afternoon. Peacock goals from Sam Jarvis, Luke Dimond and Timothy Monsheju proved the difference, overcoming a Cristian Cazacu effort to win the game 3-1.

Over in Walthamstow, hosts Sporting Hackney returned to winning ways in the league as they saw the visit of a winless Chingford Athletic to the Lodge at the weekend. The Parrots had Jerrel Watkins and Pierre Przezdziecki to thank as a goal from each saw them battle their way to all three points in a 2-0 victory.

Down at Lakeside, the Senior Division action was completed as Chadwell Heath Spartans faced a local derby game at home against Aveley Under 23s, both sides going into the contest unbeaten so far this term. With little between the sides on the day, it was defences who reigned supreme with a goalless draw the outcome in the end, both sides settling for a share of the spoils.
