PREMIER DIVISION

Chingford Athletic have returned to the top of the Premier Division, making the most of their game in hand on the previous leaders to edge past Lopes Taveres London in a 3-2 win. Gary Murray scored twice for the hosts to help them to two point lead at the top.

Rainham Working Mens Club secured an important win in their fight to avoid the drop with a 5-2 victory at home to Melbourne Sports. A goal for each of Dillon Anderson, Shaun Cook, Jack Lockwood, Matt Humphreys and Daniel Berru closes the gap for Rainham to just two points at the bottom. John Shubert and Marcus Dadson were on target for the Mels with their consolation goals.

Old Esthameians remain third in the table following a 4-0 win on Saturday on the road at London Falcons. Danny Morgan scored twice with goals from Jake Evans and John David-Bradley completing a comfortable victory.

DIVISION ONE

A quartet of goals from leading marksman Chris Stowe helped his Colebrook Royals side on the way to another victory, this time seeing off Singh Sabha Barking in a 5-0 win in Newbury Park. John Elmes scored the fifth as Royals continue their march to promotion which may just be a couple of games away.

Sporting Hackney Reserves put nine goals past St Francis in Hackney to stay seventh in the league table. Felix Onyango and Olajide Yusuff both scored a hat-trick for their side while Chris McNicholas’s brace and Shane Devanta’s single goal completed the 9-1 rout.

There was a 3-1 win for St Johns Deaf against East Ham International in Leyton where home goals from Huseyin Er, Marios Costi and Jason Maclean proved the difference between the sides as St Johns moved up above their opponents to eighth in the table.

Kitgum Boys closed the gap in the table on fourth position to just goal difference with a 4-2 win at the weekend against Cowley Community. Lehan Bakare scored twice for the visitors but home goals from Isma Bukemya, Boris Backer, Fred Kalyango and Mustafa Lubwama carried Kitgum to victory.

DIVISION TWO

Lymore Gardens secured a fantastic victory on Saturday, beating an in-form Forest Green side 3-1 in Leyton to close the gap on their opponents. Dylan Roberts bagged himself a brace with Michael Konis’ strike completing the scoring to take home the points.

In the division’s other game, braces for each of Jason O’Hare and Danny Vass plus a single goal for Rasheed Allen were enough for Inter Plaistow to see off Glendale in a 5-2 victory. Terry Allen was the Dales’ scorer for both of their goals.

DIVISION THREE

It will be a weekend to remember for Wanstead Warriors who secured the club’s maiden win on Saturday, beating St Francis Reserves 2-0 in Wanstead. Connor Goom will be the man remembered for this feat as his goal scoring double carried them to victory.

Upminster Reserves were the biggest winners of the weekend as they cruised to an emphatic 12-0 victory at home to Brentwood United Reserves. Four goals from Zack Killoran got things going with four other players netting braces in the shape of Charlie Hazelwood, Daniel Lister, Warren Taylor and Tom Bonnett. That win carries them up to fourth position in the table in the chasing pack.

Also victorious were Old Esthameians Reserves who won 2-0 at home in Newbury Park against Flyers to move up a place in the table and to within just a point of their opponents in seventh place. Alex Booker and Lee Vickers both scored to help the E’s to victory.
