Close on their coattails are two sides, including Ongar Town who went top temporarily on Friday night after a first home win of the season against Dagenham United at Wodson Park. Jude Collins and Ruben Costache were the men on target to make it two wins from two.
The only other side with a perfect record so far are FC Petrocub London who took their points tally onto six with a hard fought 2-0 away win against CSM London at The Foundry, a result which saw the visitors leap up into second spot.
A quite extraordinary first two weeks for promoted Sporting Bengal United Reserves saw them bounce back from a heavy reverse to net a stunning 6-1 win against Waltham Forest Borough. The reigning champions, London Harts United, produced their first win of the season and sit fourth after a 5-2 away victory over Ryan for whom they had Tamas Retyi to thank for his two goals, along with efforts from Dee Okojie, Isaac Sijuade and David Moyo.
Also unbeaten are promoted Greengate District who came out on the right side of a seven goal thriller following a 4-3 success at Kulture. Ruben Silva (2), Melih Saglam and Lua Silva struck for ‘Gate while Landry Gogoa scored twice in reply and Sudrael Mansaray one for the hosts.
It was a first win of the new season for Chadwell Heath Spartans too with their first home game seeing Fairlop Rovers make the short journey to The Drive. But it was Spartans leaving with a 3-2 win in the end with Brandon Johnson scoring two and Billy Gipp one.
It was all square in Friday night’s other fixture where Haringey Borough Reserves and Frenford Development had to take a point apiece after a 2-2 draw at Coles Park. Larry Asare-Bediako and Alexander Nicolaides scored the Borough goals to remain unbeaten.
