The last weekend of fixtures in 2014 saw a reduced schedule owing to various Christmas parties taking place and trips to Lakeside and Westfield reducing player availability for many clubs!

The Fenton Cup saw holders Chingford Athletic cruise through their third round clash with Dagenham United, courtesy of a five-goal performance from Michael Mignot in an 8-0 win. Another Mignot, this time Jake, notched a brace with Charlie Maher also finding the back of the net in an emphatic win. They will now face Premier Division St Francis in the quarter finals.

In the Division One Cup quarter final, two goals from Richard Oxby and another from Adam Hole saw Chingford Town Res safely through to the semi finals with a 3-0 away win at Northend.

The Premier Division clash between Jolof Sports Club and Newham Res witnessed a thriller as the latter moved level on points with their opponents in winning by the odd goal in seven. Tahin Guy Landry bagged a hat-trick for Jolof but ultimately it proved not enough as Andre Paul's double added to goals from Brandon Dujon and Daniel Olaoye to secure victory for Newham.

Both of Division One's top sides were in action this weekend as Three Colts held leaders Blue Marlin to a 1-1 draw with Richard Blackwell netting for the hosts to end a solid first half of the season for the new boys. St John's Deaf took full advantage of Marlin's dropped points as they cruised to a 4-1 win against Forest Green. Huseyin Er netted a hat-trick with Marios Costi completing the scoring and leaving St John's in the driving seat for 2015.

That concludes our coverage of the first half of the 2014/15 season and we hope you have enjoyed our reports so far! We wish everybody a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
