The 39th and final week of the 2021/22 season concludes this Monday evening with the Senior Cup Final down at Leyton Orient as DT FC take on Lymore Gardens, kick off 7.30pm.

For DT FC, they will be looking to round-off a successful season with another piece of silverware as Billy Cove's men secured the league title a few weeks back. They were also finalists in the Fenton Cup last week but lost out in a 1-0 defeat to Rapid Chingford so will be eager to right those wrongs. In this competition, they started their run to the final with a solid home win as they defeated Kit Out London 5-1 at the Harlow Arena. In the quarter finals, they were drawn against Tower United and came through a tough game with a 1-0 success to confirm their place in the semi-final. They faced rivals Woodford East in that last four tie and had to come from behind to an early East goal to secure their cup final place, Izaih Antoine scoring twice and Jacob Melford once in a 3-1 win for their side.

In the other corner are Lee Benjamin's Lymore Gardens side who have made it through to their first final since 2017 where they faced Chigwell Rovers in the Division Two Cup, that being one memorable night for Garden, winning 8-0! They will be pleased with their efforts in the league this season, finishing fifth with forty-five points to their name, thirteen points behind their opponents on Monday. Their run in the competition started with a home first round tie as they edged past Blue Marlin in a 3-2 win before winning a comfortable quarter-final as they defeated Chigwell Town 4-0 at Cricklefields in April. That set up a semi-final away at FC Petrocub and they came from behind that night to eventually prevail in a 4-1 scoreline, Andre Rashford scoring twice, Ben Sumaili and Dylan Roberts grabbing the others!

With two close games between the sides in the league to date, a 2-0 win for DT FC in the first half of the season, followed by a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture at Lymore Gardens a few months ago, this is sure to be a very competitive game and a big crowd is certainly expected for this season concluding contest.

We look forward to welcoming both clubs, their spectators and our match officials along to the Breyer Group Stadium this Monday evening.
