We are very sad to announce the passing of Alan Clark, a former referee and league official of both the Essex Business Houses League and Ilford & District Football Leagues, who died suddenly earlier this week.
A servant for many years in a number of capacities for each of the EAL's founder leagues, and a highly experienced referee across a number of Essex leagues, Alan will be sadly missed by us all. In more recent years, Alan was the Assistant Manager for Sungate Vets in the Essex Veterans League.
Our sincere condolences go to Alan's family and friends at this most difficult of times.
