The end of winter is now not that far away (dates-wise anyway) and with the end of winter also follows the closure of the registrations and transfers window with the Essex Alliance Football League.
This season the window closes on Saturday 28th February 2015 meaning that is the last date that any registrations or transfers can be completed. Matchday emergency registrations on this day are acceptable provided your opponents have countersigned the form and the form is with the Registrations Secretary by the following Wednesday, 4th March.
Warning regarding matchday emergency registrations
A matter which has now been raised on a number of occasions is teams failing to request countersignatories for matchday emergency registrations from their opponents BEFORE the player participates in the match (see rule 8(B)(ii)).
As this is in breach of league rules, should your opponents raise a protest on this matter, you could find yourselves having therefore fielded an ineligible player and being dealt with under rule 8(O) and losing points gained in the match. For the sake of a few seconds, please get them countersigned before the match commences to avoid later disappointment!
Make sure your registration forms are fully completed
Another issue which has persistently been a problem is registration forms being submitted which don't have dates of birth, addresses or signatures. These registrations are therefore invalid until this additional detail has been provided. Please take a few moments to check the forms before submitting them to the League. If you are countersigning forms for your opponents, please check these basic details before you approve the registration!
