Postponement of fixtures

With the weather looking more and more like winter every day, the League wishes to clarify the process to be followed where grounds are declared unplayable by the authority that runs them.

For home sides, when that dreaded phone call comes through from your authority stating that their pitches are unplayable, the League's expectation is that the home club makes contact with the away side as quickly as possible to see whether a switch can be made to the away side's pitch or indeed an alternative venue completely. If a switch is possible then please make use of this option as it gets a match played.

If neither side can provide a pitch for a fixture in this instance then the game should be postponed. This is achieved by the home side notifying the appointed referee, the league's Fixtures Secretary, Referees Secretary and Results Secretary so that the necessary information can reach relevant parties.
