GROUP A

The title race in Group A has taken down to the wire as leaders, FC Petrocub, needing just a point, raced into a 3-0 first half lead against DTFC through goals from Nicolae Gutu, Vasilica-Cristinel Ilie and Ghenadie Moisei. But by half-time things were level as DTFC fought back, then nicked it 4-3 in the second half with goals from Chris Smith, Alex Paraskeva, Kieran Hipgrave and Tremayne Coley.

In the group’s other game on the day, West Essex Reserves completed their cup campaign in style as they returned home with all three points with victory against FC Baresi. West were 3-1 victors on the day to stay fourth in the standings with that second win of the competition.

GROUP B

Things were equally as dramatic in Group B where Kit Out London took on Chigwell Town with the title on the line. Town twice led in the game through Dominic Farmer and Ross Chimes but Kit Out London responded in positive fashion as goals from Saul Morris, Yusuf Seedat and Kachi Yassine carried them over the winning line 4-2, securing the silverware in the process.

That result meant that Woodford East went into their final game of the campaign knowing that the title was out of their reach against Tower United but did still have runners-up in their hands. Just a single goal kept the sides apart on the day with Frank Glock netting the only effort  of the game to hand East second place in a 1-0 victory.

GROUP G

The title was finally wrapped up in Group G as Together United earned themselves the result they needed to secure the cup. They were up against Newham Royals in Walthamstow and were in fine scoring form once again as Stanley Kweya’s hat-trick and a Fifi Banin brace carried their side over the line to a 5-0 win and their first silverware.
