In the Essex Junior Cup, there is an all-EAL derby in the first round as Lopes Tavares London host new side Docklands Albion U21 who make their debut in the competition. Also in first round action are newly promoted West Essex Reserves who face their Old Barkabbeyans counterparts from the Olympian League at home on 30th September.

Receiving byes through to the second round are Division 1 champions, Colebrook Royals, who travel to Haver Town in October in an intriguing looking clash. In the Essex Junior Trophy opening round, newly formed Chigwell make their debut with a trip to Hutton A of the Mid Essex League with Chingford Athletic Reserves also facing Mid Essex League opposition as they host Danbury Mission in Waltham Abbey. Colebrook Royals Reserves are on the road in round one as they make their way up the M11 to face Dunmow Rhodes with new side New Star Soccer hosting May & Baker EC U21s in Seven Kings. Docklands Albion make their bow in the competition with trip to Olympian Side Collier Row U21s with London Caledonian Roses also facing U21 opposition in the shape of Leytonstone United U21s. There are three all-EAL clashes with last season’s quarter-finalists, Kitroom, hosting Rainham Working Mens Club while ACD United face Ferns Seniors in a battle of the former Romford League sides. Completing the first round action, Frenford A will be visited by Newham United Reserves, both new sides to the EAL this season.

The sides receiving byes through to the second round are Avondale Rangers who will tackle Mid Essex League side, Brentwood United, in their opening tie while newly reformed Flyers Reserves will be visited by Emerson United at Noak Hill. An all-EAL derby sees East Ham International face Singh Sabha Barking in the second round while Ryan Reserves will travel along the A12 to Harold Hill Reserves in October. Lymore Gardens see their quest for cup glory begin at home to Mid Essex League side Harold Wood Athletic B.
