DTFC 2-1 KIT OUT LONDON
LEAGUE CUP PLAY-OFF FINAL

The final domestic football action of a strange season was played out this evening as DTFC and Kit Out London met at Billiericay Town's superb New Lodge facility in front of a good crowd.

After a fairly even start, the game came to life midway through the first half as DTFC firstly forced the Kit Out London keeper into a big save at his near post to keep the teams level, a moment which proved crucial as a Kit Out London midfielder then went clean through moments later before stroking in the opener despite pressure from the DT keeper and defence. That really opened things up and following a little period of pressure, DTFC got an equaliser with a ball in from the left coming back off the woodwork and the striker was in the right place at the right time to put away to make it 1-1.

The second half began with an excellent chance for Kit Out London, perhaps their best of the second period as a great low ball was pulled across the face of goal and the resulting far post strike was blocked well by DTFC's keeper to maintain parity in the scoreline. Two big saves at the other end of the field kept KOL in the game as pressure mounted from the DT forward line but just as the game looked to be heading to a shootout, the big moment arrived. A terrific left footed strike from the DTFC attacker fired into the top corner with just minutes to go, a strike worthy of winning a game of football.

The referee blew his final whistle not long after to signal a comeback victory for DTFC who really had to battle hard against an excellent Kit Out London side to take a victory. Congratulations to everybody involved with DTFC and a big thank you to all of the spectators who came along to watch.
