Grassroots clubs in Essex can find out more about the benefits of the FA Charter Standard Award and chat through future plans with their local Football Development Officer at one of a range of roadshow venues in November.
Designed in 2001, the FA Charter Standard initiative was launched to improve grassroots football, aiming to make a difference in local communities around the country. The Essex County FA are amongst the national leaders, with over 150 clubs signed-up, and over half the county’s youth teams are currently enjoying the benefits the status brings.
These include kit and equipment, increased funding opportunities, in-service training events and reduced prices on Essex County FA coaching courses. Clubs and leagues with an interest in achieving the quality kite mark can book a slot at one of the forthcoming meetings in Colchester, Chelmsford and Collier Row.
