This Wednesday night, the first Essex Alliance League cup finals since 2019 get underway as we make a return to Dagenham & Redbridge FC to witness the climax of the Division Four Cup Final between Chingford Harriers and Flyers Under 21s - kick off 7.30pm.

Chingford Harriers will be attempting to make up for the disappointment of losing out narrowly in the race for the league title as they make their first EAL cup final appearance, having been fairly regular final visitors in their early days in the Ilford & District Football League. They took their place in the final after a first round victory away at West Essex Under 23s (4-2) before coming through in a penalty shootout in the quarter finals against Fairlop Rovers (1-1, 4-3p) and repeating that feat in the semi-final against Emerson & Upminster A (1-1, 4-3p).

The other half of the draw on Wednesday night sees Flyers Under 21s make their first ever cup final appearance with many featuring in their first season of open age football. They had a difficult start to the season but managed to finish a very credible third with a real upturn in form in the second half of the season. Their run to the final took in an emphatic 5-0 away win against Newham Royals in the quarter finals before causing a real surprise, defeating league champions, Sporting Pillars, 2-1 in the semi-final.

We look forward to welcoming both clubs, their supporters and, of course, our match officials for what should be a great evening of enjoyment.
