The cup final action continues this Saturday afternoon as we head to Dagenham & Redbridge to witness the conclusion to this season's Division Two Cup competition with Rainham Working Mens Club returning to the final once again and taking on Unitey.

For Rainham Working Mens Club, this occasion marks their fourth cup final with the league, joining Jolof Sports as the sides with the most appearances in a final. They were finalists in the last edition of this very competition, losing out on penalties to CSM London in 2019. Their run to this final started witrh a first round success at home to Royal Forest, winning 6-1, before defeating Redbridge Community in the quarter finals in a 3-1 win. The semi-final saw a close game against Loughton Lions which they managed to edge in a 1-0 victory to confirm their place in the final.

Standing in Rainham's way are a Unitey side for whom this is, without a doubt, the biggest game of their existence and they will know they stand just ninety minutes away from lifting a first piece of silverware. With just four points between the sides in the league, they will go in with some confidence and confirmed their place in the final after two superb victories. They sent league champions, Fairlop Rovers, out of the competition in the quarter finals as Unitey won 3-2 on penalties after the game had finished level at 1-1. They were then in scinterlating form in the semi-finals, defeating Emerson & Upminster Reserves 6-1 in Loughton to secure their place in Saturday's showdown.

A big crowd is anticipated for this rare weekend cup final action and we look forward to welcoming the clubs, their spectators and, of course, our match officials along to the game.
