Key deadlines approaching to be aware of

As we approach the end of February and March, this brings with it a number of deadlines that our clubs need to be aware of.

  • Last date to make requests for weeks off during the remainder of the season - 29th February
    Any clubs wishing to make a request for a week off during the remainder of the season should submit this to the Fixtures Secretary by the end of February for consideration.

  • Deadline to return perpetual trophies won during 2022/23 - 29th February
    Any clubs who hold perpetual trophies from last season should make arrangements to return these to League Secretary, Barry Fitzgerald, by the end of February, in a re-presentable state i.e. clean!

  • Last date for registering or transferring players - 31st March (midnight)
    The last date for clubs to register or have transfers processed is 31st March at midnight. All requests must have been lodged on the FA Clubs Portal by this point for them to be accepted. Please make sure that you process any registrations in good time.

  • Deadline for proposing rule changes for 2024/25 - 31st March
    If you wish to make any proposals for rule changes for the 2024/25 season, these must be submitted to the League Secretary by 31st March. They will then be put forward to the league's management committee then to Essex County FA for approval. Accepted proposals will then be put forward to the AGM in June for voting.

  • Deadline for existing clubs to confirm participation for 2024/25 - 31st March
    You must confirm in writing to League Secretary, Barry Fitzgerald, by this date if you have any intention of your team not participating in the competition for the 2024/25 season. 

  • Deadline for applications for promotion to the Senior Division - 31st March
    Clubs wishing to be considered for promotion to the Senior Division must complete the requisite application form by the end of March. The league will then make any requests for further information and arrange a ground grading visit, where required.
